This coming March, DC Comics fans will learn that not every show has to be secured on The CW Network as the pre-history of Superman’s ancestors is presented during the show “Krypton”. It’s going to come care of the SyFy Network and the first official trailer is here to enjoy. Let’s take a look.
The Premise: According to IGN, Krypton will follow Superman’s grandfather, Seg-El; whose family, the House of El, has been ostracized and shamed. Seg-El fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos.
The Cast/Characters:
Cameron Cuffe as Seg-El
Georgina Campbell as Lyta Zod
Ian McElhinney as Val-El
Elliot Cowan as Daron-Vex
Ann Ogbomo as Alura Zod
Rasmus Hardiker as Kem
Wallis Day as Nyssa-Vex
Aaron Pierre as Dev-Em
Shaun Sipos as Adam Strange
Blake Ritson as Vril Dox
Additionally, Seg’s father Ter-El, Doomsday and Hawkgirl will also appear in the television series. Paula Malcomson will appear as Charys.
PiercingMetal Thoughts: While this full official trailer was still on the short side, I am finding myself a little more interested in this series and this might just be because DC big screen presentations are disappointing me while their television shows are keeping me engaged. I do like the idea of Adam Strange in the show and now we know that Braniac is the main antagonist to fend off. This will be the first time either of these characters have appeared in a live action series so I am excited to see how they are fleshed out. I know that Hawkgirl is listed as part of the cast so perhaps the Green Lantern Corps will be along somewhere as well. One can only hope. We have until March so I am assuming that another trailer will come. Don’t forget that “Black Lightning” will have its premiere on The CW Network in the coming days. That one looks interesting too. Let me know what you think of this trailer and your preliminary thoughts on the show might be. See you next time.
