Back in April, I posted the teaser trailer for an upcoming Horror film called “American Satan” which stars members of the Black Veil Brides and Asking Alexandria. I didn’t speak much on it since teasers are often too short for me to form a proper opinion but now we have the full on trailer which you can examine below. Dig in to the “Summer Trailer”.
The Plot: A young rock band, half from England and half from the United States, drop out of college and move to the Sunset Strip to chase their dreams. Living in a van, their passion and talent exceed their means to survive. An enigmatic stranger sees their true potential and emotionally manipulates them during a time of weakness. Caught in the middle of a Faustian deal, their music and controversial altercations end up influencing society beyond anything this century has seen, but can they take back control of their destiny before it’s too late? PiercingMetal Thoughts: Having seen the longer trailer, this one looks like it could be pretty good. To me it had the sense of a more Metal laden version of “Crossroads” where Ralph Macchio got superb guitar skills from his dealings with Ole Scratch and went head to head with one Steve Vai. Oh come on you had to see that one, its a classic if you enjoy Rock films. Anyway, from the trailer it’s a modern day tale of good versus evil versus and how it plays in the quest for success against failure and although this is only a glimpse, it appears that one Mr. Biersack can act. I’m a fan of his from the many times I’ve documented stuff about the Black Veil Brides on this website so am in his corner on this film being a success. The film opens in October so I’d be interested in seeing it if there is one of those Fathom Events one night only screenings or some specialized event involved some live band performance. It’s happening right after the NY Comic Con for me, and that event takes a lot of creative free time away as numerous posts get put online to showcase it. What do you readers think about this trailer? Does it sell you on the movie or are you planning on waiting until home video release? Let me know in the comments section below.
