A few months ago there was a pretty healthy buzz going on for probably one of the weirdest bands I had learned about in some time, and this is coming from a guy who has interest in bands that dress like monsters and various anime characters. I am talking about the guys in Galactic Empire and I shared their video right here on the website in a post that you can review HERE. Now I just wanted to talk a little more about the accompanying single for the video since it is straight music without no dialogue like we found in the video clip. Here we go.

The tune is essentially what we get in the film’s opening crawl sequence as the words bring us up to speed on the tale that is being told and into the actual films Imperial pursuit where Darth Vader and his loyalists are aiming at crushing the Rebel Alliance. After a few more listens I really enjoyed this track a lot more and give the guys credit for pulling off something this clever all while dressed as the Imperial Forces. This is a lot of fun and I am very, very interested in seeing it done in the live sense and wonder how Disney is treating them based on the costumes that they are wearing. Or are they wearing costumes at all? They say that you don’t know the power of the Dark Side and I say that I in fact do – it’s the power to Rock. Oh man does that read back corny. Oh well, such is life in the vast galaxy we float around in. Check it out if you have an open mind. It really reminded me of my old Meco records and he was an artist who did a Disco version of the main songs from this now legendary film. In 2017 the original “Star Wars” will have its 40th Anniversary and you can be rest assured that I will do a Milestone post about it.
