The Press Release:
Multi-platinum, Massachusetts-based rock band, STAIND has announced a new date this fall, October 5th at FOXWOODS Resort Casino in Mashantucket, CT.

Last night during Aaron Lewis’ solo stop at FOXWOODS, fans were treated to a special surprise guest when STAIND guitarist, Mike Mushok joined Aaron on stage to perform the band’s 2012 smash single, “Something To Remind You.” STAIND’s October 5th show at FOXWOODS will be the band’s only Northeast performance this year.

Tickets for the general public go on sale Friday August 2 @ 10:00am ET, but fans have access to a special Artist Presale beginning July 31 thru August 1 by using the code: STAIND19 @ www.staind.com

Earlier this year, STAIND announced they will reunite for select dates this fall after a five-year hiatus. With more than 15 million albums sold worldwide, original members Aaron Lewis, Mike Mushok, and Johnny April along with long-time drummer, Sal Giancarelli, will kick off the reunion at the Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville, KY this September.

From the late 90s to the early 2000s, STAIND gained worldwide recognition as one of the most powerful rock bands in modern music. Aaron Lewis’s raw, authentic lyrics combined with dynamic hard rock energy, resulted in a multi-platinum career spanning more than two decades. Accolades include RIAA Platinum-certified albums Break The Cycle, Dysfunction, Chapter V, and 14 Shades of Grey, and the chart-topping smash singles, “It’s Been A While” and “Right Here”. Frontman Aaron Lewis will continue his solo country music career while coinciding with upcoming STAIND dates. His third and most recent country album, State I’m In, debuted #2 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums. Mike Mushok, also a member of rock band, Saint Asonia, released a new single last week featuring Godsmack’s Sully Erna.

Stay tuned for upcoming tour announcements.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Though I pretty much consider myself a casual fan of the Staind band, I think that a reunion of this kind is rather exciting. Historically speaking, I’ve only ever caught Staind in concert once when they played the Best Buy Theater (concert review HERE for the interested). I can’t make this reunion show myself as I will be tied up with the activity going on at NY Comic Con that weekend but feel that any fans of the band who consider themselves to be diehards need to be in place. I will catch them when they announce a larger scale tour for sure. That’s all I have to say about the matter but I wonder what you readers think about this news. Are you happy that Staind will be doing some reunion shows and a likely tour? Chime in down below and we shall see you soon with more stuff.
