The E3 Convention/Expo is underway and I have a number of colleagues in attendance doing reporting for their respective mediums. Their being there led me to follow some of the activity for our Pop Culture focuses since video games are often based on the Toys, Comics and Film items that are discussed on that section of the PiercingMetal.com website. When I saw the trailer for the upcoming 2020 release of “Marvel’s Avengers” by the folks at Square Enix, I knew that I had to share it with the readership. Take a look down below.
About The Game: Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Marvel Entertainment and Square Enix are excited to unveil Marvel’s Avengers, an epic action-adventure game that combines cinematic storytelling with single-player and co-operative gameplay. Developed by Crystal Dynamics in collaboration with Eidos-Montréal, Nixxes Software, and Crystal Northwest, Marvel’s Avengers will release simultaneously for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices including Xbox One X, Stadia, and PC on May 15, 2020.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: That was pretty intense to say the least and I felt like I was watching a mini-movie during it. Who knows, perhaps a Marvel Gaming Universe will be coming down the pike and we can enjoy similar shorts with other exciting characters. Now I don’t actually consider myself a gamer but with my regular attendance of events such as the Toy Fair and New York Comic Con among many other similar happenings, I will be looking to include more content like this since it applies.
