PiercingMetal Thoughts: So I’ve noted before that I am not too sure how I feel about a Venom character without the Amazing Spider-Man involved at any point and despite the apparent nonstop action and violence – Sony has really taken some liberties with his origin story. I’m now on the fence about seeing it in the theaters since they’ve maintained in a couple of articles how he will not be sporting a white spider-man logo on his chest since Spider-Man has nothing to do with him. Sigh. As you might recall, the Disney acquisition of 21st Century Fox is a go and I’ve noted the full press release HERE for those who missed the news. Sony is just going to keep building a Marvel Comics universe of its own and that notion pains me just a little bit. The big wigs should sit down and work out some trading of things that Disney now owns in exchange for Spidey back in full. I am not sure how this film will be received and wonder what you think about the second look at it. You can chime in down below in the comments. Oh and BTW; Back in June I shared the latest round of Marvel Legends action figures coming from Hasbro Toys. The “Venom” set has some cool additions to your collection if you are buying these and you can peruse via THIS LINK.
