It’s been a few months since we were treated to the first trailer for the sure to be summer blockbuster “Spider-Man: Homecoming” so I was pretty stoked to find this brand new second trailer being revealed by the folks at Sony Pictures Entertainment. As you know the two sides of the fence have realized that Spidey belongs in the MCU (or Marvel Cinematic Universe to all you noobs) and I couldn’t agree more. Check it out.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I was sold on this version of Spider-Man once the character made his appearance in “Captain America: Civil War” to be quite honest and I did love that first trailer that we got a short time ago. The timing of this trailer is interesting since not only has Sony Pictures announced that a Venom movie was coming from them as well but Warner Brothers Pictures had just released a full-on trailer for “Justice League” (from that other comic book universe) and if you missed that post please click HERE to be up to speed with us. I cannot guess how a Venom feature might be received since I think that most fans want a direct tie to the proper MCU at this point and if they cannot do this I don’t see fans rallying behind it. However, this topic and the ever tumultuous fate of the film version of the “Fantastic Four” are discussion points for a different post. I don’t see that last one happening since Fox wants to keep destroying the property but back to the “Spider-Man: Homecoming” trailer 🙂 The action looks tight in this one and they seem to have captured the fluidity that one can expect from a character such as the Amazing Spider-Man. Holland shows to be very likable as Peter Parker even more thanks to this trailer and while I felt a bit TOO much was revealed in it, I am sure that we are only getting the tip of the iceberg. I’d love to find J.K. Simmons returning to the Marvel films as J. Jonah Jameson since he was nothing less than perfect at the role. Please guys let’s make that happen as well. I know he is Commissioner Gordon in the DCEU but he is without a doubt the embodiment of JJJ. So what did you readers think of this second trailer? You can let me know down in the comments section below. I’ve even posted the recently revealed promotional posters for the film. Enjoy and see you next time.
