I’ve done some posts for the movie “Brightburn” already and to keep it simple on past referring, if you want to examine the lot just click HERE to open a new tag with all of that stuff. The second trailer showed us a bit more of this insidious super powered boy and now its time to examine the Red Band trailer. Now be warned, these are usually a bit more intense and graphic than the standard fare that airs during the broadcasts on TV. Any complaints about that presentation should be directed to the folks at Sony Pictures. You’ve been warned so let’s take a look.

Synopsis: “What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister? In this horrific take on the classic superhero trope, a couple adopts a baby who came from the stars. While they attempt to raise the boy to use his powers for good, an evil begins to grow inside that he unleashes.”

The Cast:
Elizabeth Banks as Tori Breyer
David Denman as Mr. Breyer
Jackson A. Dunn as Brandon Breyer
Matt Jones
Meredith Hagner
Steve Agee
Becky Wahlstrom
Stephen Blackehart

PiercingMetal Thoughts: At the risk of sounding lame, I don’t do the gore stuff all that well and as you can “see” by this clip there are a few moments that will make you squirm. I love James Gunn and am happy that he will be back on “Guardians Of The Galaxy” after doing this film and the sequel to “Suicide Squad”. I think that this might be an interesting film experience but I am not sure that I can see this over the holiday weekend since I’ve a full plate so far and a vacation coming up as well that bears some preparation for. Part of me wonders who among you are excited for a film that follows the origin of Superman but changes him into an alien monster. It might be cool for an Injustice tale but only time will tell. As you know, “Avengers: Endgame” is breaking box office records and as I type this out the film has made more than $2.273 billion dollars. It’s been open for a little over a week. Anyway, I digress. What did you readers think of the Red Band Trailer? Has it convinced you to want to see this film? Chime in down below. See you next time.
