With all of the Marvel Studios features coming care of Disney and the DCEU being delivered by Warner Brothers Picturses, its high time for the world of Valiant Entertainment (aka Valiant Comics) to make their big screen debut. The first in a hopeful line of connected films comes with the Sony Pictures feature “Bloodshot”. I’ve embedded the trailer, the premise and the casting down below for your consumption.
The Synopsis: After he and his wife are murdered, Marine Ray Garrison is resurrected by a secret team of scientists. Enhanced with nanotechnology, he becomes a superhuman, biotech killing machine – Bloodshot. As Ray first trains with fellow super-soldiers, he cannot recall anything from his former life. But when his memories flood back and he remembers the man that killed both him and his wife, he breaks out of the facility hellbent on revenge, only to discover that there’s more to the conspiracy than he originally thought.
The Cast/Characters:
Vin Diesel as Ray Garrison / Bloodshot
Guy Pearce as Dr. Emil Harting
Eiza González
Sam Heughan as Cpl. Harlan ‘So Long’ Shifflet

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I was an avid reader of the “Bloodshot” comic when it first hit the racks many years ago and like most collectors, made sure to secure a handful of copies for “posterity”. Of course I eventually fell off my Valiant Comics stuff when the number of Marvel and DC titles I liked increased too much and it would come to collected editions to keep up with any of these creations. “Bloodshot” was a favorite and while this trailer looks good, I am wondering why they didn’t use the actual “look” of Bloodshot that we see in the illustrated pages. I’d be game to see this film when it comes out but I’d like to know more about it first. What did you think? Chime in down below in the comments.
