As discussed, the 2025 New York Comic Con was a thrill ride for all those who were able to attend and now that my day by day coverage pieces have finished I am continuing along with some of the special focuses. If you’re only just now joining us, please spend a little time with the New York Comic Con content that has preceded this post by clicking HERE. Doing so will launch a new browser tab with everything that has gone online related to the convention. This post will shine the spotlight on the Alex Ross Gallery that was being presented on the main expo floor. I’ll chime in sporadically on this one and let you enjoy the gallery walkthrough. The lighting was terrible over this section so some images are a little tricky to see properly. Let’s explore.
The gallery had a mix of everything whether it be some Marvel or DC characters along with a few surprises. This X-Men piece was stunning.

While I said I wouldn’t talk all the time I did love this Krypto.
This Spider-Man reminded me of the classic cover of “Spider-Man” #1 by Todd McFarlane.
All Hail Doctor Doom!
Some great DC Heroes of legend with Batman, Joker and Harley and of course Superman.
I used to religiously read the “Fantastic Four” title so this piece with them against a host of their worst villains was cool.
Also in the gallery were a number of works by the great Bill Sienkiewicz. I couldn’t access a few of them based on the crowd but these bring the picture into the mix. That Moon Knight and Doctor Doom are something.
That’s going to bring me to the end of this special feature from New York Comic Con and I hope that you enjoyed it. I love the art of Alex Ross and have long been impressed with his renditions of so many famous characters. All of these works are available for purchase if you have the kind of scratch that such works command today. I know if I had it I might investigate a couple of them myself but alas. I do love exploring galleries and talking about art and have even done a substantial amount of interviews with artists and galleries that I did for “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” website. The curious or interested can check those out by clicking HERE. I’ll be back tomorrow with another special feature so please stay tuned. Remember to help out the PiercingMetal outlet by supporting us on our social media platforms via the Official Linktree. See you next time.
