While the 2024 New York Comic Con has come and gone, I’m happy to report that I still have quite a bit to share with you from the convention. This post will begin my Day Three observations and if you’ve only just found out about us and are beginning the journey you’re going to want to click NYCC 2024 to open a brand-new browser tab with absolutely everything that has been posted about the famed con in chronological order. Starting up I’m sharing the signage at the security check Yes my friends you need to have bags checked and go through a metal detector since that is the world we are in. I’m not complaining at all but can say that I have absolutely everything in the visual in my pack to get this stuff done.
Here’s the convention program and its got some cool Wolverine and Deadpool art to it. I used to collect these but stopped some time ago.

I have no idea if this actually played and I guess I should have asked because it would have made a nice video. It was very early in the morning when I ran into him and I needed coffee more than anything else.
I headed back up to the River Pavilion for another quick go round and met this silver Superman. This looked really awesome but I am thinking that it had to be hot.
One of the weirder aspects of NYCC is not only will you see a whole lot of Deadpools but you will also see a whole lot of Deadpool variants. I don’t think I expected a Bob Ross-pool to be chanced upon but here we are.
This was a fantastic Green Hornet cosplay. I’d sure love a complete Blu-ray set of the classic television show but there’s been no sign of one yet.
This excellent Doctor Doom also had his very own Doomosaur. How awesome is that? Quite awesome I’d say.
It’s been a little while since we had run into Destro from Cobra Command and also leader of the Iron Grenadiers but here he was. I wasn’t startled as we go way back at this point.
The creatives from Wayward Raven Press…
Ms. Megan McCauley in her best Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn cosplay. I guess she didn’t see the movie because I feel if she did that she would have opted to be Batgirl.
Members of the 501st Legion were down in the lobby collecting donations. They are a charitable group despite being in Galactic Empire attire.
Some wonderful cosplays starting with Cinderella, Team Jones, Harley Quinn and Joker out of the Batman Animated Series and the Black Cat.
Behind the jacket is a friend of mine that didn’t want me to take the photo. Since she’d hidden herself away I did. So there…
The legendary Chris Claremont. His signing line was incredibly long.
I found myself watching a friends table for a few minutes so they could make a necessary visit and during the stint found myself face to face with The Riddler, The White Queen and Rogue from the X-Men comics and even Xena Warrior Princess.
I also met a whole batch of Loki variants which was fun. Even Miss Minutes was there as you can see.
The family that cosplays together stays together. Loved this team Hawkeye cosplay bunch.
I think this girl was cosplaying a wrestler but I didn’t catch the character or her name. Too bad because she had the strength to ensure safe passage to the photo pit at the crazier shows.
We met Irene Strychalski for the very first time at the NYCC and she was rather awesome. Turns out she is quite the Metalhead and really appreciates the music of Nightwish.
Here’s Russ Braun and Missus…
Here’s Bjorn Barends…
After running into Banshee from the X-Men, I figured it would be a good idea to go outside and see what was happening. Generally speaking there are tons of cosplayers hanging out and doing mini photo shoots and there are food trucks in case you are hungry as well.
Jaws or Baby Shark?
This chap had a sign that I felt was super positive and one can always use that sort of thing, even at New York Comic Con.
Bizarro and Superman were not too far away from each other so let’s hope they didn’t battle it out because too many innocents would get hurt.
A badass Wolverine was on point along with Spaceballs, Voldemort, Nightwing and Robin, an unknown character and a gender swapped “Joker Folie a Deux” cosplay.
Now before I wrap here I had to mention this and the young lady’s cosplay from the new film makes me want to share. So as you know “Joker Folie a Deux” is being skewered in the box office but since I knew I could not avoid discussion at con, I said to myself, lets see the film so no one ruins it for me. Little did I know that by seeing the movie I ruined it for myself. When a friend asked me what I thought I said that they might want to bring a book. Yeah it was that bad.
So that is a wrap on our first installment from Day Three and I hope that you enjoyed it all. I’ll be back with some more from this day soon enough so please stay tuned. While you wait, you’d be helping us along by paying a visit to the Official PiercingMetal Linktree and following along on the networks tha the outlet is participating in. I’ve mentioned before that the social media game is a constant fight and the more numbers you have the more relevant you appear to be. Now according to the server logs, the website is closing in on having 3 million pages viewed for 2024 so I am fairly certain its relevant but that being said a few more social media followers only works to our advantage. See you next time with more.
