Welcome back my dear geek-minded readership, you have arrived at the Day Two portion of PiercingMetal’s editorial takeover and event overview of the New York Comic Con which began this past Thursday. As expected, the overview will follow the same day by day premise until I’m fresh out of images and something to say about them. I mentioned this in the beginning of the Day One stuff, but as a reminder this is my 13th year of attending in an official capacity. There is always a lot to do at this event in terms of chats, photographs and videos. I already did some of everything and the videos are slowly premiering on YouTube. I’ll start off with the “Star Trek” banner that hung overhead the entrance of the Javits Center and before I forget, to see all of the New York Comic Con 2023 posts in a new window just click HERE.
The mysterious Chainsaw Man was the first cosplayer I stopped on Day Two and yes this is more of a character found over and over again at the Anime NYC convention but I do think that the NYCC fans are also following many of the Anime features.

Since last year’s convention, I’ve been enjoying doing these “Arrival” Shorts as they make the overall post a little more interesting and bring some attention over to the sites YouTube Channel.
This was an amazing Tinkerbell cosplay.
I had no idea what this young lady and monster represented but it was for sure creepy.
Super cool Spider-Man statues to pose with at the Marvel pavilion but the line was far too long for me to participate.
They are from “Doctor Who” I was told.
An Ultraman statue was ready for people to pose next to him.
My guess is that this is a Spider-Barbie. Clever.
Behold the great John Romita Jr.
This was an on point Mandalorian cosplay group. Both they and the 501st Legion where upstairs in the River Pavilion with booths and all sorts of coolness to participate in.
This was a favorite cosplay that I encounted the Boriqualorian.
This is Erica Fett, she hosts a popular podcast on mysterious creatures. I’ll have to listen one of these days since the topic intrigues me.
Further down the aisle were a number of actors involved in the recent “Star Wars” shows on Disney+, most specifically “Ahsoka” and “The Mandalorian”. It was nice to meet them all today.
While not Star Wars in theme, this cosplayer had a cool outfit.
This Snowtrooper reminded me that it was time to get back downstairs into the mix and he was not wrong.
That’s going to bring me to the end of this first part of the Day Two adventuring but as expected there is much more to enjoy from this and the remaining days of the New York Comic Con. As you know, we post “50” images into each of our posts until we run out. I have my work cut out for me on the Official Instagram since I try to post slighly different images up there when possible. Speaking of Social Media, the readership is going to want to make sure that they are following and engaging on our networks of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok to enjoy all of the stuff that was featured on these profiles. I’ll be back with more soon so please stay tuned and thanks for stopping by.
