Hello again my friends, I am very happy to see you here as the media deep dive into the New York Comic Con continues along with the third and final chapter of the Day Three adventuring at the convention. By now you should fully know the drill as I get closer to delivering the final photographs and videos but of course if you are just now joining us because we met during the event, you will want to click HERE first. Doing that will open up a new browser tab with all of the NYCC 2023 content and let you enjoy it with a broader experience. I’m continuing from where I left off which was the Marvel Pavilion. I didn’t stay there long however since it was so crowded.
This is apparently MC Supersize and is a design of the great Ron English.
Here we find him doing an interview with that spooky Ghost Rider we met.
I was excited to see a cosplay of Hallows Eve which is a new and very interesting Spider-Man villainess. Here she is with Jack O Lantern.
As a matter of principle I generally only snap the younger generation at the convention with their also cosplaying parental units but their dad said they were in attendance at their very first New York Comic Con so we had to give them some love. We hope they enjoyed this one and will be returning in the years to come.
Here’s the team from Blitmap. It’s a new angle on comic book publishing and they have a lot of cool looking merchandise as well. Since this is a new thing I took a few snaps but left them all in this chapter.
So check this out. I know all of these comic book covers look different but in fact they are the very same first issue of this series. The team was handing out silver bagged books which was yours to keep provided you opened it in front of them. There are apparently thousands of first issue cover variations. That’s an interesting concept for sure.
I’ve long been more of a casual fan of Judge Dredd than a diehard but I always love perusing the occasional issue. The 2000 AD booth had some cool stuff for sale.
I loved seeing a Booster Gold cosplayer as its not a character that I often run into.
Here’s Celia Calle. We were meeting her for the very first time at the NYCC
Here’s writer Joe Benitez who is the creator of Lady Mechanika. This is a very interesting character and some of Joe’s table is featured for your enjoyment.
As I left Artist Alley for the night and ended my own Day Three wanderings, I passed the massive queue that I think was waiting to get into the Main Stage room. Sometimes there are later panels once the proper con hours have finished. The photo doesn’t really show just how long the line was.
I couldn’t resist taking a snap with Sandy King Carpenter and we decided to do a second when I didn’t have that monster in the first one.
Okay so that’s it for Day Three and I hope you enjoyed this one. As I’ve already pointed out there are less of the day to day chapters this year since I took a lot of images out of the mix to present them on their own spotlights which will run after the Day Four stuff is posted. I’ll be starting with that tomorrow so in the meantime please head over to all of the PiercingMetal social media stuff so you can engage with us. Each of them is important in their own right so let’s meet up on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. Remember that social media is a numbers game and if we don’t have the numbers it makes it harder and harder to keep on delivering the goods. See you next time with another chapter, thanks ever so much for swinging by.
