Welcome back my friends, it’s good to have you here with me as I continue to share my findings from the annual New York Comic Con for 2023. The event actually ended yesterday and now its time to share each and every photograph that was done over the four day affair. The mission plan is steady as she goes and I will pick up from where I left off as we are still on the Day One visuals. Before you dive deeper into Chapter Two, I encourage you to follow the traffic director notice that closes this intro. My first images in this installment are the wonderful folks from Pentacomix. They came all the way from Korea to share the news about their company. To see ALL of the New York Comic Con 2023 posts in a new window just click HERE.
Nearby those booths we just talked about was this giant group of screens and an immersive experience called Shueisha XR or the “Manga Dive”. Don’t worry, I shot some video for you to enjoy as well.
We slipped over to the Playbill Booth and they were having a couple of signings. There is a “Death Note” play coming if you can believe that. Anime and Broadway, who would have ever thought that would happen.
As you know we just love the stuff from NECA and occasionally collect their stuff. We’ve been fans for years and last saw them at the Toy Fair which had returned after almost three years.
Diamond Select Toys were also present and accounted for at NYCC, and here are some of the items that picqued my interest the most. I’m a big fan of their Minimates and will be looking into grabbing this set since its the most popular characters from Cobra.
S.H. MonsterArts had an amazing Godzilla display going on.
I spent a lot of time down in the Artist Alley today and here is the legendary Todd Nauck. Since most of the creatives are pictured with their sign behind them I don’t need to re-introduce you to them.
This is Kevin Eastman. He is one of the creators of the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” which is a property I think you are all aware of.
This is Sean Von Gorman, he’s a lot of fun and I did a piece with him in 2022. It’s always great when the artists are having a good time like the fans are.
That’s a wrap for the second part from Day One but don’t worry there is another piece of the puzzle to close out the visuals the day. As previously stated I like to break these posts into no more than “50” photos each to allow for easier digestion. Doing it this way also gives all of the folks that were showcased the ability to find themselves easier and share on their own social media. Speaking of Social Media, the readership is going to want to make sure that they are following and engaging on our networks of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok to enjoy all of the stuff that was featured on these profiles. I’ll be back with more soon so please stay tuned and thanks for stopping by.
