Hey there my friends, its now time to welcome you to the second installment from the Day Four exploration of the famed New York Comic Con, and as previously noted, this will end the day to day coverage pieces that you’ve been enjoying for the last week or so. Doing it in this fashion does take a little more time but its truly wonderful to be able to share so much content with you all. As this continues the adventuring during the “Family Day” I can stress that the event was super duper crowded and this is always nice to see. Sure crowds can get a bit overwhelming at times but I loved seeing the masses down in the Artist Alley since that is the best place for the talent to make some money. OK as I’ve mentioned time and time again, if you are just now joining us and digging into the coverage of the New York Comic Con, you are going to want to click HERE first as that will open up a brand-new browser tab with all of the posts that preceded this one. Now let’s pick up from where I left off and these items from Sumerian Comics.
The great Todd Nauck is always all smiles with those who he meets at the NYCC and since I still had my issue of that Pop Insider magazine with me, I let him have it. I can always get another. Todd is always very busy at the con and was finalizing some comissions before the event ended.
This is a good one. Keith Williams and Alex Saviuk show off a comic book page that they both worked on.
Some awesome cosplayers like Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Miles Morales Spider-Man and Aunt and a Super Mario Deadpool.
These were awesome Transformers from Robosen. This Optimus Prime and Grimlock actually transform from one phase into the other. They are a little pricy but they sure do look amazing.
There were a lot of “Death Note” cosplays this year and as mentioned about some similar characters, these are usually more in tune with the Anime NYC event.
I think that this charming cosplayer was doing a version of Moon Knight
Let’s hear it for Ms. Asgard and her very own Cosmic Cube.
The convention was ending in minutes so I snapped a few closing shots from the booths I was near. This TMNT skateboard was huge.
A final look at the Figpin releases for the convention. I will need to hunt for those other KISS ones that I was told about.
This is a sight one seldom sees and its an absolutely empty Funko pavilion. On each of the convention days there were hordes of people lined up waiting to get their Pops.
This Joker Statue of Liberty was suitably scary. Nicely done. You can see that instead of the book they are holding the head of the Caped Crusader.
And so it ends and our final photograph from the proceedings. It was a blast and I also decided to add one of those Short videos as we prepared to head out the door. Maybe next year I will add end of day videos as well as the start of day ones. It can’t hurt as every video eventually gets some views and that only helps the YouTube Channel at the end of the day.
So that’s it my dear geeks, the end of the day to day coverage of the New York Comic Con. Now as I promised, I have a few additional posts to shine a spotlight on some of the things that I snapped a lot of photographs of. I took a page out of my Toy Fair posts for these and think it let’s these particular companies shine a little brighter. Now if you’re not already doing this you simply must head over to our social media profiles because those let you engage with us in a more real time sense. Sure I love comments on the website posts but those don’t come in much these days. The PiercingMetal site is very active on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok and by engaging with us on them we know that you are out there and that we should keep on pushing the entertainment in your direction. I hope you enjoyed the four days of New York Comic Con adventuring that were shared in all of these daily installments. I will see you back here tomorrow with a post about…..nah, I’ll let you find out tomorrow. Thanks for reading, see you then.
