Hello there once again my fine-feathered fans of all things geek. You have safely arrived at the comprehensive coverage of the 2022 New York Comic Con and I am now up to Day Three, Part Three which actually amounts to the last installment of this particular day. Tenured readers can start their perusal but some advice for those just finding the website, please click HERE to see everything in the order that it was posted on a brand-new browser tab. As mentioned before, this kind of event is best enjoyed from the beginning. By this point in the adventure I was feeling the burn and trying to catch up with some friends and had a close encounter with Mr. Stay Puft…
We learned that our friend Miss Cheng was going to be at one of the dealer booths so headed over to see her for a few minutes. It’s always great to have a catch up.
Met a fun cosplay group of Chun-Li, Elektra, Spider-Bunny and Pirate. As you’ve seen in many of our presentations, when we meet a group like this we do the group shot and then let everyone shine in a solo photo.
Voice actor Loren Lester. He’s done a number of things in his career but the NYCC attendees might know him best for voicing both Robin and Nightwing on the “Batman: The Animated Series” cartoon. Now that is something I’d like to binge-watch.
Some friends from the Metal Scene…
A truly excellent cosplay of The Undertaker.
And a Moon Knight cosplayer who chose to reveal their secret identity as well. Nice work on this whole outfit.
Some of the stuff on the Merc Comics table. We’ve never really done a deep dive into their comics line but if they add us to their servicing list maybe we can do some of that in the future.
We swung by DMC Comics once again since Darryl was there with Dean Haspiel. Of course we snagged a photo of D and Keith Williams.
Here’s a comic book industry power couple with Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner. Always great to see them at the Con.
The legendary Chris Claremont was signing so many things today so my photo was from the side as he engaged with ardent fans.
Chris Madd had a happening booth…
Here is a masked Kevin Maguire and Fabian Nicieza.
We met writer Jeremy Holt for the first time at this years NYCC and a video clip with him was done for good measure. As a matter of fact, the same was done with Cassie Hart, Nikacomics and Kayden Phoenix.
We also chatted briefly with Bella Rachlin but not on video. Maybe next time.
The New York Comic Con is safe as can be with Sailor Moon on patrol.
This trio of Dredd’s wanted to be sure that I had done all that was possible for Day Three and let me pass when I confirmed that I had. For a Saturday this was rather busy but that is to be expected on this particular day.
So before I wrap this chapter up, here are some of the candids that I did with friends and some others. That’s Barbie Chula, Ultraman, Oksana Cosplay, Miss Cheng and Darryl “DMC” McDaniels. Whew.
That’s going to close out all the fun from Day Three but don’t worry, I still have the energy for the final Day Four which is the Family Day. Those posts will come after a quick pause to feature another side focus. While you wait, I encourage you to follow the links of some of the talented people cited in this post and of couse our own social media profiles.
