Hey there my brave New York Comic Con adventurers, I have returned once more to continue along with the visuals captured on Day One of this massive media happening. It’s been fun so far and I’ll pick up where the exploring paused. As mentioned in the earlier installments, you’re going to want to click HERE since that will open up a window with all of our posts about this years convention. It’s always best to start at the beginning since I tend to refer to other things as I go along. Let’s wander.
I wanted to see another angle of the “Back To The Future” DeLorean since I’ve always loved that car. This will obviously not be a part of the play since this is a real deal car. One has to imagine that a Broadway set piece will need to be lighter. I could be wrong but who knows.
Up on the level where they host the Press and Professionals lounge, they also have some small stages for talks and some folks set up shop there. Some awesome cosplay outfits from the Batman Metal series from Fabian Pulgar.
Saw some interesting photo op sets that people were posing on in their cosplays and while I didn’t manage to see who put them out I think it was nice that they were there for them.
I see this couple every year and they do a great job of cosplaying assorted Spider-Man family characters.
Scott Snyder was doing a signing at the ComiXology booth. The line was too long for me to wait so a snap from the sidelines would have to suffice.
Here’s Comics Industry Power Couple Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner.
Pat Shand was here as well and showcasing a new book.
And the awesome Emily Ree who we’ve known for a couple of years now.
This is Hookie Duke!!! I did an interview with her for you to enjoy. She was super cool.
Before we wrap this installment up, I’ve saved the saddest part for the last. Apparently, artist Kim Jung Gi was on his way to NYC for the convention and experienced chest pains while in Paris. It would turn out to be a heart attack and he passed away. The convention set up a table for fans to write notes and leave flowers and just reflect on his talent with each other. It’s pretty sad for sure.
That’s going to be it for our Day One presentations. When tomorrow’s installment rolls around it will begin the Day Two part of the adventure. This post fell short of the “50” requirement that I like to keep but that happens sometimes. Remember to get on the following of our social media profiles since we love knowing that you are out there. These things are a numbers game and the higher they are the easier it becomes for us to do things. The links are Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and brand-newish TikTok.
