Greetings my fellow geeks we are back with another exciting installment from our in-depth exploration of the New York Comic Con for 2021. I’m still on the Day Two features but if you’ve only just arrived I suggest you click HERE to see all that’s come before. I parse this adventure out over numerous chapters and days to deliver the maximum and lets begin with this Rey from Star Wars cosplay.
Here are two of the Con Exclusive covers for two series from Merc Magazine. Now I don’t know all that much about these characters but maybe I will do a video with a staffer who can explain in greater detail.
There were so many awesome Loki cosplays and so far I think they outnumbered the Harley Quinns and came a close second to the amount of Deadpools that I saw. Maybe I will do a tally when all is said and done.
In another installment I mentioned that there were a few auction based bidding companies present and there was a sizable space used by the folks at Whatnot. This isn’t my thing and this area was usually where Marvel Entertainment sets up shop. Truth be told I missed Marvel being here.
Here is an amazing Maleficent cosplay.
A proper “Guardians of the Multiverse” cosplay group.
Here are some visuals of the Merc Comic Publishing booth. We briefly spoke and a video of their wares will be featured in those clips that I said are coming soon.
Darryl was doing a special signing of his Funko Pop vinyl figure. He signed them all and was there for Photo Ops as well.
The always beautiful and awesome Miss Cheng. You know that I also met her at that same Winter Con where I met Barbie Chula. This convention that were sharing space and it is always great to chat with her.
I headed outside of the Javits to the Food Truck area and they also had some special DC Entertainment related things. There was a Sandman experience which I will line out in its own post and this coolness from Doom Patrol.
Participants would be able to win the cool pins or receive a comic book as a consolation prize. I didn’t win so ended up with the comic book.
They also had a new Starburst Energy Drink called C4 and it was explosively good. See what I did there? I took a few with me to give to some friends in the Artist Alley since they are often locked at their tables.
A very stylish video game character cosplay.
And now for some artists. I usually wait until the Saturday for Artist Alley but I was not interested in the gaming and bidding stuff over in the main hall and just used the time talking to creatives.
Let’s close this installment up with a super awesome and cute cosplay of Gwenpool. I don’t see many dressed as this character so it was great to meet this young lady. She goes by Dame Divine Cosplay and I will add her link down in my run of links at the way end.
So that’s that for this installment but don’t you worry I still have more to come. Stick around on the site and see what else we have going on and do please click through to some of those links and give the talented people some love. Don’t forget to follow PiercingMetal on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube so you don’t miss a second of the fun. See you next time.
