Hello again my geek-minded members of the readership, I am back with another piece of the larger puzzle that is the mega-media event known as New York Comic Con. I am still on Day Three so if you’re just joining us you might want to click HERE first to see all the posts that have come before this one. In this piece I will be heading over to Artist Alley to spend a little more quality time with the creatives and secure a lot of cosplay along the way. Let’s go.
A great pair of Star Wars cosplayers but they are not a part of the 501st Legion. Since we were nearby their assigned headquarters at NYCC I told them to pay a visit to meet other like-minded cosplayers.
This was a fantastic sight. A full family of Super Mario cosplay.
While I’ve not read any of the comic or graphic novel content from Zenescope Entertainment, I did love the size of their booth and even did a quick video tour with one of their characters who you see in our first photo.
The pandemic has affected everyone’s appearance as even Michael Myers has “COVID Hair”.
A legendary Thrash Metal name is Anthrax and they were here signing copies of their new Z2 Comics graphic novel. Pictured in these photos are Joey Belladonna, Jonathan Donais, Charlie Benante, Frank Bello and Scott Ian.
These three WWE cosplayers had the routine down for sure. I got a kick out of them.
The Peacemaker was a part of the film “The Suicide Squad” and has his own show on HBO Max. This cosplayer brought that to life quite well.
Ran into a friend who was cosplaying as a Playboy Bunny Pikachu. We’ve known Oksana for a few years and think that you’d love all her assorted cosplays.
David Mack was in Artist Alley showing off impressive work as always. Newbies might know him best from being the creator of “Kabuki”.
Today was the first day that we met artist Criss Madd. He was really cool.
This was by far the BEST Ghost Rider cosplay that we have seen in a long time. So much detail and pieces going into this. Kudos.
I stopped to talk to Richard Rivera about “Stabbity Bunny” and found this character quite interesting.
That brings me to the end of this chapter of the fun but don’t worry because it looks like I have a number of images and opinions left about Day Three to share with you in another installment. Please stay tuned for that one. Don’t forget to follow PiercingMetal on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube so you don’t miss a second of the fun. See you next time.
