Hello there my friends and welcome to my full on, in-depth presentations and visualizations from the 2019 New York Comic Con. Yesterday I had announced that I was once again attending as a member of the press and in that broadcast let the readership know that this would by my “10th” straight year of attending and covering the convention. Since some announcements have gone by before we dove in, I’m going to direct our readership to THIS LINK in each and every chapter so they don’t miss a single post. I programmed the stuff from the first day which will run in a daily serialized format until I am out of days and images. Let’s go…
As it was early, the first stop that I made was at this attraction that had a slight queue but looked like some fun. It was Mr. Krabs Crab Shack “The Krusty Crab” and he is a character from the Spongebob Squarepants show on Nickelodeon.
I didn’t win the game sadly and was proclaimed “Weiner Of The Day” I guess but now it was onto the DC Comics pavilion which is always a bit of a yearly highlight for me. Down here the attendees can get free comic books, buttons and see a number of attractions or things that are coming soon from DC Comics.
Among the items being celebrated is the upcoming Warner Brothers feature “Birds Of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of one Harley Quinn”. Whew that title is a bit to digest but hey I wasn’t at the marketing meetings. Here are the costumes from the film.
There were also a few showcases of some awesome statues coming from the DC Collectibles line. We saw a number of them at this years Toy Fair but the newer ones made an appearance a little later at the San Diego Comic Con.
Based on how many of the conventions that we go to here at PiercingMetal, I guess that you’ve realized by now that I have a strong love of the cosplay ideal. The amazing colors and wonderful creativity of the costumes and the people that work into the night on their creations continually blow my mind. Now while I am not 100% sure of this character, this charming young lady made for my very first cosplayer photo for this years NYCC. Congratulations Miss, there is an invisible gold star on its way to you 🙂
More friends from Toy Fair, this is the Playmobil section. Last couple of years they were showcasing their “Ghostbusters” Ecto-1 but now please raise ’em up for their “Back To The Future” and “Scooby Doo” line of releases.
We think that “Tentacle Kitty” is super cute and especially if you love stuffed creations but need to keep it creepy.
Here’s some stuff from the publishers of “Heavy Metal” Magazine. They’ve branched out into other products and we will soon have some action figures from the classic film. Here are some convention exclusives.
A lot of you were rallying behind their Iron Maiden comic book “Legacy Of The Beast”. Here’s a healthy helping of them all and assorted variant covers as well.
That brings me to the end of this installment but don’t you worry because I will have another exciting presentation for you tomorrow from the massive convention. Be sure to click through on the website links that have been presented below. It will let you learn more about everyone’s offerings. Don’t forget to follow PiercingMetal on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube so you don’t miss a second of the fun. See you next time.
