Greetings and felicitations my friends in the Anime Realm, I’ve returned with another installment from the recent Anime NYC convention and with this chapter will finish up with my Day Two findings. As many of you know, I like to parse out the days into chapters until all of the photos are used it. If you’re just joining us I’ll suggest that you click HERE first as that opens a dedicated tab loaded with Anime NYC 2025 content. Picking up where I left off finds me still on the main expo floor and just absorbing what I can. First up was a series of books called “My Cat Is A Kawaii Girl”.
Some of these wanderings were done without a focus. At the time of my doing these I was pretty close to leaving the convention.
These adorable plushies come care of a company called Tokyo Shojo.
A charming cosplayer.
And an artist named Cass.
Some items from the Off-Script company. They had more than what I displayed but I really wanted to capture their plush items.
This is Korioujo, another virtual presence entity. Though it felt a little weird to do this, I did a short interview with her that will premiere on the YouTube Channel in the not too distant future.
Here’s the more mature or 18+ material of “Nana and Kaoru” editions along with an assortment of some very adult-oriented manga.
A charming attendee that I spoke to at one of the booths.
Our friends at Mad Cave Studios were shining a spotlight on their Nakama Press manga line of titles. They looked to be some very interesting releases so maybe I will try to review some of them in the future.
The amazing rep at Holodive.
These ladies were selling candles and I could not read their branding in the sign so apologies.
A Nine-Tails Cosplay.
Here’s a friend from many conventions ago. I wasn’t sure who she was dressed at this time around but it was nice to see a familiar face.
Our last of the proper photos from Day Two is a distant shot of one of the entrance paths to the expo floor but not to worry I have that closing special stuff to share as well.
For today’s convention exploring I was joined by a friend from the concert scene who was helping me with notes and the occasional snap. We decided to have some lunch in the Javits and I ordered one of their cheeseburgers and fries. Of course mine had a stray chicken tender in there which was a nice little surprise.
It’s here that I like to add any of the photos that actually feature me in them with the readers. This is my friend in conventions Kim, an amazing cosplayer and also another Metal fan. For this cosplay she was sporting a massive axe that was built from scratch. I’m always impressed when I see cosplayers like Kim in the scene.
With the Anime NYC photo op booth I couldn’t resist having one snapped of me inside of it. My companion for the show snapped this for me.
You might recall that I closed the Day One posts with the arrival video for that day and I will do that again here with the Day Two stuff. I know that I can actually start the chapters with this but I like using them for the wrap of the day. Creative flow etc.
So that will be it for the Day Two portion of my Anime NYC coverage but like I said, I still have the Saturday and Sunday sessions to attend. Usually, the weekend days are much more crowded and chaotic than the Friday is so I will be sure to be rested. Remember, if you’ve missed anything I’ll ask you to click HERE to launch a new browser tab dedicated to Anime NYC 2025. It’s there that you will see everything that’s come before and let’s you follow along with a proper flow. There are some topical links we hope that you check along with continuing to help PiercingMetal grow on a number of social media platforms via our Official Linktree. See you again soon.
