Hello again my Anime and Manga loving readers. Your stalwart convention explorer has returned with what I hope will be another exciting installment for you to enjoy. I am continuing along with the day to day coverage of the recent Anime NYC convention and I am bringing more findings from Day Two. With this installment you find me exploring some of the River Pavilion where a lot of the cosplayers were doing meet ups. This one was being held by a young lady known as Kawaii Kiwi.
I walked around and snapped a few more random shots but there were sections that were far too crowded so I made my way back down to the expo floor. Do you all know these other characters? Some great cosplays for sure.
Here is Chris Batista, one of the artists working on the “Speed Racer” comic series from Mad Cave Studios. While I don’t read the current comic book I fondly remember the “Speed Racer” cartoon from my youth.
Here’s a cool cosplay trio that I snapped and gave a little solo photo love as well. I like doing the single shots mostly for our Instagram but since the site matters more to me I will always feature them here as well.
Now back on the main floor and here is a small vendor spotlight. We enjoyed our chat with Sarah from Sarlex Studios so I felt that you should see their offerings. Very cute stuff and I wish her well.
One of our favorite cosplayers, Miss Julia Rika, who is also quite the Metal fan and seen at many of the shows that I cover.
This was a cool Kaiju #8 photo op. You could also get an identification card but I didn’t do that at the moment I took this. Maybe before the convention ends.
We always love seeing the artist Acky Bright at this convention. He does a live drawing across the event and he actually started this piece on the first day. He’s quite amazing and has a great booth.
More cool cosplayers. Much like my adventuring around the New York Comic Con, I love showcasing the attendees who are often dressed to the nines and bringing these characters to life.
I did get a kick out of seeing some “Monster High” cosplays. That’s Frankie Stein and Draculaura respectively.
Some awesome shirts from artist John Belotti Jr. aka Robo7. John is also the main brain behind the “Kaiju Brooklyn” convention. I’ve attended this one a couple of times as well and have enjoyed it. I hope to attend next Summer when it returns.
These statues come care of the artist known as Dope Pope. He truly has something for everyone.
This little stage had a big screen behind it and was showcasing some animated performances. It was interesting but I had to move along as there was much to do.
I loved the pastels in the Neon Shrine booth.
This is another virtual YouTuber named SnoozyChu. I didn’t stop to talk to her but maybe on another day. Perhaps I should make a virtual presence for myself. It would be nice to just sit at home doing all this effort every once in awhile LOL.
We’ve once again reached the “50” images max limit per post so that means this installment has ended.
