Hello again dear friends in the geekier sector of our readership. I am proud to be one of you and also to continue along with the day by day coverage of the currently in progress Anime NYC convention that began this past Thursday. It’s currently on its third day and as you read this post I’m actually making my way into the city to explore as much as possible. This post continues to bring you the findings from Day One so you might want to click HERE as it will launch a new browser tab with everything that is posted from Anime NYC 2025. For this installment I decided to head down to the Gaming and Community Hall. You might remember me pointing out that last year, the Play NYC convention was integrated into Anime NYC. I didn’t find it open when I got there so that will be something for the other days.
I didn’t know about the existence of a “Quiet Room” before today but I think that its a great idea for those who need a bit of an “away” space. Conventions are overwhelming and if you have things about you that make you a bit more sensitive then good on the organizers for setting this space up.

Here’s a Sonic The Hedgehog cosplayer doing a video for their followers. This year the convention welcomed a score of the “Influencers” so let’s hope they are influential as they say they are.
Here’s Ms. Farrah Rush who was working as a professional cosplayer for the Witness Mark brand. I learned that this was an NFC sort of art collectible. It sounded interesting.
Back on the Expo Floor, they had a cool “One Punch Man” photo op for the fans to enjoy. They even handed out the cool fist foam thingie. This came care of the folks at Viz.
The reps of “Young Magazine” certainly brought a healthy amount of their magazine to give out. I snapped my shot and was thinking I would get my own copy later on. The downside was that every single one of them were gone by then.
Milkmocha Bear had a cute booth.
Some vendors to spotlight are Pookiki Studio and Sukeban.nyc that I stopped and talked to. I actually met Pookiki Studio at the Five Points Festival a couple of years ago and was happy to see her again.
Popin’Cookin’ was back on point and I thought this was a wonderful brand. It’s homemade candy kits and really is something to enjoy with the members of your family.
It was interesting to see an MF Doctor Doom cosplayer. Truth be told I am surprised when I see a lot of the superhero and villain stuff at Anime NYC. These are more suitable cosplays for the New York Comic Con but that’s just me.
One has to smile when they see Pikachu running around the convention. I know I do.
This is Lexie16 and she is a virtual presence. I spoke to her for a short video and it was interesting. I’d gladly do more stuff like this in the future.
The folks from Saturday AM had a nice booth just loaded with Manga releases. There were even creators present who were signing and talking to the attendees. Saturday AM is a division of Quarto Books who we’ve known for quite some time.
This was a cool cosplay couple.
Here’s Nogi San.
Here is an artist named Brisseaux.
These next couple of and closing images for this installment come care of my friends company “Japan Wave”. He brings numerous vendors together in his booth and some of their items are too cool for words.
As I’ve hit my usual “50” images, that will bring me to the end of our second installment from Anime NYC 2025 and as I said in the closing of the first one, I hope that you’re enjoying what I am showcasing. As you know, I will return tomorrow with the additional images that will close up Day One reveals. While you wait, you can peruse the other links from Anime NYC 2025 by clicking the hyperlinked text.
