“There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call The Twilight Zone.”.
Greetings my PiercingMetal Readers and welcome back once again to our Pop Culture offerings. We are slowly wrapping up all of the stuff from 2025 as it heads towards its inevitable close and as many of you know when this time of the year rolls around, I like to feature the rundown of the episodes of “The Twilight Zone” that will be broadcast as part of the marathon over on the Syfy Network. Though I don’t know exactly when they began showing this marathon, I can say with some level of certainty that I began posting about it in 2019 and since it was met with a great response in terms of website traffic it became and annual affair. The newbies might not know that the show first aired in 1959 and ran for five seasons with a total of 156 episodes that have remained as timeless and enthralling as they did some 67 years ago. This lengthy marathon begins very early on New Year’s Eve Day and runs into the brand-new year and beyond and the Science Fiction and Mystery fans cannot get enough of it. I know that its remained a favorite of mine as well but I still need to purchase the complete series on Blu-ray for my home library. This year there are more than “80” episodes which is considerably less than in the previous years. One year they broadcast “142” and the last time around there were “113”. The lengthy year showed episodes from other eras of “The Twilight Zone” series and the last time was without anything from Season Four. Since they included a wealth of Season Four episodes this time around there will be less in total. Now, the rundown you see below was culled from the Syfy Network resources and compared against Spectrum TV’s guide and seems to be in sync. While I don’t expect anything to change there is always the chance and if something you see down below is NOT broadcast, don’t give me a hard time about it and instead direct all annoyance at the Syfy Network or your own local cable provider on their social media channels. Let’s take a look shall we?

*** end of rundown ***
PiercingMetal Thoughts: So there you have it, all “81” episodes of this year’s “The Twilight Zone” marathon. Before I began assembling this narrative I was pretty set on not recording any of the episodes but since they were including a number of Season Four episodes I decided to rifle through the listings and program all of those episodes. While I’ve been a fan of the series for quite a long time, I don’t recall seeing much of their Fourth Season. In scrolling through the list I saw that a number of my favorites from the other seasons will be shown but I didn’t program anything else. My rationale on posting this the afternoon before the marathon begins was to give those of you who wish to program the whole darned thing a little lead time. I know that more of you are using cloud space over DVR space so this is probably quite easy to do but with this beginning at 5AM tomorrow you will need to get busy. The last time that I programmed the marathon I tried to watch all of the episodes in order of their original airing. It was fun to do that but I don’t think I will be doing that again. Now onto the little shameless plug. Don’t forget that I will also be listing the rundown of “The Honeymooners” marathon that airs each year on PIX 11. This year that marathon begins after the ball drop and runs with a brief pause for local and national news. That post will go live at noon or so over on “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” website.
As I wrap this one up, I want to wish you and yours the very best in the event that this is the day that you find yourself signing off on websites and social media to enjoy some hopefully quality time with your loved ones. I wish you all a very fun but safe New Year’s Eve celebration. If you keep it small and contained to only a few core friends, that’s fine as well. I haven’t done any chaotic revelry for years and like many of my friends view New Year’s Eve as an amateur night with too many potential issues but I digress. Please be sure to chime in down below in the comments to let me know a few of your own very favorite episodes of “The Twilight Zone” because I’d love to know what five shows you liked the best. I’ll post my own top ones down below. See you next time around, the countdown to 2026 will be here before you know it so keep safe and see you again soon.
