Though I don’t remember when they actually started doing this, for the past few years the fine folks over at the SyFy network have been serving up a very loaded marathon of the Science Fiction classic series “The Twilight Zone”. Now I am talking about the original series that featured the great Rod Serling and not one of the many redos and relaunches that have surfaced over time. When I ran this feature in 2020 the goal was to keep all of you inside because it was just too unpredictable out there in terms of the virus. Since then we’ve come up with the vaccine and the world has set itself on two different sides while variants of the strain keep on coming. Over the past few weeks that latest one has caused a lot of grief so maybe staying inside and keeping to yourself once more isn’t a bad idea. This past year has found my making the website much more of a Metalized Geek Culture site and that leads me to listing the full marathon rundown for those interested once again. As a Science Fiction buff, I’ve long loved this series and plan on tuning in across the marathon for those very favorite episodes but I don’t think I am programming the DVR this time around. So now let’s get on down to business and learn which of the episodes are airing and when.

*** end of rundown ***
PiercingMetal Thoughts: Reviewing the rundown you will see that there are something like “104” episodes for the marathon and I think that’s around the same as last year. Historically speaking there are only around “156” total shows when all was said and done with the original series. Not bad to be able to see almost all of them over the span of a few days or even longer if you have the space to program the whole thing onto your DVR. I did that last time around but since my device is currently at 90% I don’t think I will be able to do that this time. I think I will just program the absolute favorites instead and will continue my New Year’s Day practice of flipping between this and the marathon of “The Honeymooners” that begins at 11PM on New Year’s Eve. If you love that show you’ll want to head over to “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” as well because I will be posting that marathon rundown at lunchtime on Friday. So once again as you read this we are just shy of 24 hours away from a brand-new year and though 2021 served up a whole lot of chaos we can only hope that we will enjoy a safer, more secure 2022. Are you all ready? Please be sure to keep safe which I have repeated time and time again and I will keep on doing my best to entertain you all. Let me know if you will be tuning in to any of these marathons down in the comments section and since the rundown was culled from numerous sources don’t get mad at me if anything doesn’t air for some reason or another. I am not in charge of programming schedules just in charge of sharing them.
