PiercingMetal Thoughts: Excuse me while I catch my breath about this rundown. For starters, I’m rather shocked that its coming out on Superbowl Weekend when pretty much no one is paying attention to anything other than The Chiefs versus The 49ers, and Taylor Swift of course 😉 So as you can see, the mighty Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Soundgarden and Thin Lizzy were left off of this years list after being nominations over the last couple of years. True Rock and Metal bands that have been set aside for more Rap and R&B Acts. Sadly, there is still no sign of the Scorpions making an appearance but its nice to see Foreigner at long last and Ozzy Osbourne as well for his amazing solo career. I don’t want to make too many predictions on who goes in immediately but I am thinking that Cher, Mariah and Mary J. are not going to be overlooked. Maybe even Sinead because she has left us. I barely ever listened to Oasis over the years and even less for DMB so I cannot guess how they are going to be received by the voting parties. Despite being a music scribe for almost 20 years now, I don’t get to vote in on this stuff. I mean I can do the “Fan Vote” but as you know all of the collected input from that will amount to one single Rock Hall vote so its pretty much a waste of everyone’s valuable time and effort. Of course if you think that by doing this that you are making a difference then you go be you and do that stuff by clicking HERE.
As always your comments on this stuff is welcome so do please chime in down there below in the comments section. I will see you again soon, please keep on staying safe out there.
