Raven Announces US “Destroy All Monsters” Tour 2015

A little while ago the email announcing the upcoming tour for the mighty Raven hit my mailbox and since we love talking about concert tours on the website I have copied the press release and the poster for you to be in the know as well. Check it out.

Tour - Raven - Summer 2015

The Press Release:
NWOBHM legends RAVEN are that rare thing in music, true originals you can cut these guys with a razor and they will bleed true heavy metal – a more intense live band does not exist on this planet! Thus will be the case when RAVEN returns to the road in North America supporting their latest release ExtermiNation. The tour kicks off August 27th in Baltimore, MD and runs through September 9th in Vienna, VA. A complete list of dates can be found below.

ExtermiNation combines the melody/chaos/musicianship/lunacy that defines the band with songs that are simply the best they have done in decades. Rivaling the “holy trinity” of those early albums, and again working with the engineering metal mastermind who is Kevin 131 (Walk Through Fire) – the band have taken their game to the next level…this may well be their 41st anniversary but these guys are only just getting started!

8/28: Brooklyn, NY @ Nihil Gallery
8/29: Kenilworth, NJ @ 10th Street Live

PiercingMetal Thoughts: While I admit to always being more of the casual fan of the music of Raven I have been fortunate enough to see them a few times and I still own some releases that add necessary levels of octane to my Metal collection. That said this is a show that should not be missed by any age of Metalhead based on just how much the band puts out there for their fans. If you were lucky enough to see them opening for Accept about a year ago on that bands short run you will know what I am talking about. I am going to do my best to be a part of this Nihil Gallery show in Brooklyn because this is also a brand new space for my reporting and that adds a lot of interest for me as well. What do you readers think? Are you fans and will you be checking out this tour when it comes through your town? Let me know in the comments below.
