It was just about a month ago when I reported on the nominees for the 2023 Game Awards and since like keeping pace with this kind of stuff for our Pop Culture focuses, I’m back to share the recently announced winners of said awards. Now I’ve mentioned that I am not at all the biggest gamer on the Interwebs but I do go to the annual Play NYC Convention which lets me meet amazing game developers and companies. I’ll talk more about that in my closing but now without any further adieu, here are the winners of the 2023 edition of The Game Awards. Oh yeah and let’s recap about what this even is for the other newbies out there.
The Game Awards is an annual awards ceremony honoring achievements in the video game industry. Established in 2014, the shows are produced and hosted by game journalist Geoff Keighley, who worked on its predecessor, the Spike Video Game Awards, for over ten years. In addition to the awards, The Game Awards features premieres of upcoming games and new information on previously-announced titles. (c/o Wiki)

PiercingMetal Thoughts: So there you have it. What did you readers think about the winners of these interesting awards and the games that took home the trophies? Are you happy to see the outcomes or did a favorite game of yours fall short for some reason. So I mentioned that while I wasn’t a gamer per se that I attend the Play NYC Convention and during that event I’ve been doing lots of interviews with the talented people that I meet. I speak to game creators, technical sorts and developers along with marketing folks and its fascinating. If you have interest in this content, please head over to the Official PiercingMetal YouTube and enjoy a playlist of these videos by clicking HERE. Now here is something funny. In my post about the nominations I positioned that maybe a KISS video game would find me getting more into the scene and with the ending of KISS in the live sense and their returning as digital world Avatars can something like this be far from happening? I honestly don’t think it is so come on developers let’s get a KISS game in place 🙂 OK now its back to the creative mines to keep on getting you all some interesting entertainment. See you next time. Stay safe out there.
