Presenting “The Beatles 1964” @ The Morrison Hotel Gallery

In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of The Beatles arriving in the USA and NYC for the very first time in their career, the Morrison Hotel Gallery is presenting a photographic exhibit entitled “The Beatles 1964” which has been curated by Julian Lennon and bears the succinct description of “A 50 Year Celebration Of Photography”.

Welcome To The Morrison Hotel Gallery

The exhibit can be enjoyed for the entire month of February 2014 and is located in the Loft Space of the Morrison Hotel Gallery on 124 Prince Street in SOHO. I wandered through the presentation and snapped quick photos of what you really need to see in person. Trust me when I say that my camera doesn’t do this historic stuff justice at all.

About The Exhibit

I’ll be presenting this one with limited narration since the descriptions give you a healthy idea of what’s going on.

One of the guests this evening was none other than Pattie Boyd who was a model and photographer and the first wife of George Harrison.  She also married Eric Clapton and the song “Layla” is written for her as well.  Here we find Pattie being interviewed by Erina Aoyama of Japan’s NHK Broadcasting.

The gallery was packed very quickly and I am sure this please its owner Peter Blachley (pictured below in the center wearing a hat).

A few weeks ago I broadcast how “The US Albums” by The Beatles had finally been released. Here are links to all of them and some special “must have” collection DVDs.
