PiercingMetal Thoughts: As this is always something popular to discuss on the website I’ll add my views on the artists that I hope win with each category. For “Best Rock Performance” I am going with Ozzy Osbourne and Turnstiles for a close second. The “Best Metal Performance” was tricky for me since I really enjoy all of the artists but think that Ozzy with his legendary guitarist from Black Sabbath is as Metal as it gets. If that doesn’t win the Grammy I’d like to see this go to Ghost or Megadeth. I’ll give the “Best Rock Album” to Ozzy because its solid but with Machine Gun Kelly also in the running he might walk away with it. Say what you will on my leaning Ozzy with this summary but I am also giving him the “Best Rock Song” because it also features the legendary Jeff Beck. Now truth be told I am not as up on the Alternative side of the fence these days but feel that that “Best Alternative Performance” will go to Florence and The Machine since she has just come off a blockbuster and sold out tour. I think Bjork deserves the “Best Alternative Music Album” because she is as alternative as it gets but maybe Arcade Fire will walk home with this one. What do you readers think about this brief section of the Grammy Awards nominations? You can chime in down below with your own picks as I’d like to hear them. That’s all I’ve got for now so I will see you next time. Stay safe out there.
