Presenting The 39th Annual Saturn Awards Winners

saturn awards logo

According to their Wikipedia entry, “The Saturn Awards are American awards presented annually by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films. The awards were created to honor science fiction, fantasy, and horror in film, but have since grown to reward other films belonging to genre fiction, as well as television and home media releases. The Saturn Awards were created in 1973 and were originally referred to as Golden Scrolls”.

As I pointed out in the post with all of the nominations a couple of months ago, I am on a quest to make the Pop Culture and Entertainment content of the PiercingMetal site even more interesting. I’m continuing on with the practice of following this particular awards show based on its overall premise that the films and shows they feature are right up my alley. Now let’s get down to the moment that I hope you’ve all been waiting for…here are the winners of the 39th Annual Saturn Awards.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: That was cool but I am afraid to admit that of the winning names that the only films that I saw were “The Avengers”, “Batman The Dark Knight Rises” and “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey”. However with that being said I liked including this as one of our features and think that it was a good idea to include it. On top of that, I loved, loved, loved “The Avengers” and cannot wait to own it on Blu-ray when it eventually gets released. I only “liked” the last Batman movie and felt it left me a little bit for want but hey what can you do. What did you readers out there think of the winners list? Let us know.
