It was just a short time ago that the Recording Academy had announced the nominations for the 2024 Grammy Awards and as is the usual practice here at the Metal Media High Command HQ, I’ve culled that almost 100 category list to serve up the nominations for the Rock and Metal releases. I’ve even kept to the inclusion of the Alternative stuff as well since sometimes that gets really close to the kind of stuff we are listening to as fans. There were some interesting nominations this time around.

*** end of rundown ***
PiercingMetal Thoughts: I was happy to see artists like Ghost getting another nomination and of course Slipknot and Metallica who pretty much amount to the biggest Metal bands in the world today. I don’t know much about Boygenius or the Black Pumas but Greta Van Fleet and Spiritbox are surely worthy of a win and what can I say about the legendary Rolling Stones who have jus released a very strong album with “Hackneye Diamonds”. Unfortunately, we don’t get to help move any of the nominations to the winners circle but that would sure be fun. What do you readers think about these nominees? Is anyone that you were hoping would get nominated not on this list? I’d love to hear who you were rooting for. Chime in down below in the comments section and I will see you next time.
