Presenting: 50th Annual American Music Awards Winners For Rock

Hey there my friends, I’m here for a quick moment to share with you the winners of the 50th Annual American Music Awards for the “Rock” categories. There are three in total so this will be a quick read. The broadcast still has over an hour to go and I’ll be posting the full rundown over on “The Chronicles” for those interested in seeing it. Truth be told I am not the biggest fan of this awards show since it seems a bit all over the place and leaves a lot of the music that I like out of the process. PiercingMetal Thoughts: So looking at the “Favorite Rock Artist”, I admit some surprise at seeing MGK win out over the Red Hot Chili Peppers who had all sorts of honors at the Grammys. He does rock it out if you can trust the stuff found on YouTube but I am not the biggest advocate of what he does. I was psyched to see Ghost winnig for “Favorite Rock Album” with “Impera”. Ghost really seems to be incapable of doing any wrong which is okay by me because I love what they do. The attention given to Kate Bush with the “Stranger Things” song useage made me feel she would walk away with that one but instead it went to Maneskin who I really don’t know too much about. Now while I didn’t post this part I was quite surprised to find Coldplay winning “Favorite Touring Artist” over both Elton John and the Rolling Stones. This is especially with Elton being on a farewell tour, albeit a lengthy one. I’ve often hear how those two are tour favorites but never have I heard any friends say that Coldplay was their favorite tour. Another good one was the “Elvis” movie winning best soundtrack. So wrapping this up I wonder what you all think about it. You can chime in down below in the comments section and I will see you next time. Right now I need some rest since I spent all weekend at the Anime NYC convention. Ciao for now, please stay safe and also warm since its gotten quite cold up where we are.
