PiercingMetal’s Scenes from Toy Fair 2025: Funko and Nacelle Toys

As previously noted, Toy Fair just wrapped up its four day takeover of the Javits Center and I was once again bringing the PiercingMetal outlet into the mix for our 12th official visit in a professional capacity. The way the coverage is being laid out is for a number of exhibitor presentations of the stuff that speaks the loudest to our demographic. These first few posts will load in those exhibitors where we didn’t go crazy in photos and then the more comprehensive ones will follow. Generally speaking I like to post a maximum of “50” images in these kinds of narratives but will occasionally be breaking my own rules to keep true to my plan. Let’s continue along with the topical finds from Funko and Nacelle Toys. Please enjoy the presentation.

For many years Funko has been one of my favorite providers of coolness based on all of their music related Funko Pops. They’ve done so many groups that I enjoy such as KISS, Iron Maiden, Ghost, Judas Priest and so many more. What I’ve done here was only to spotlight the upcoming music releases. One can truly get lost in the Funko booth at Toy Fair.

There’s a cool Angus Young from AC/DC with a stage coming at us soon and I snapped two shots of this for slightly better perspective. They even have a standalone Angus which let’s you easily preserve it in one of those clear plastic covers. I know some of you do that while others open them up and place them around your domicile.

The late, great Freddie Mercury from Queen is immortalized in a pair of Funko Pops. I do believe there were others before these two but I missed them. I really like the one with the yellow jacket. While Freddie has been gone for quite some time, I do think he would have liked the idea of these.

The three original members of Guns ‘N Roses have new Pops with a Slash, Axl Rose and Duff McKagan. Sometimes Funko will release a full band series as was done with Metallica, Slayer, Def Leppard and The Police. I grabbed the Metallica ones but slacked on the Slayer and while I enjoy Leppard and The Police, I wasn’t interested in their Pops.

Sometimes Funko does these special album cover releases and what better album to feature a Bon-Jovi Pop than “Slippery When Wet”, an absolutely seminal release that has withstood the tests of time. I don’t recall any Pops featuring the singer before this one but don’t shame me for being incorrect if there has been.

Now it’s time for the ones that resonate the loudest with me, the Ghost Funko Pop and the Hottest Band In The World KISS. As you can see in the next couple of images there is a brand-new Papa Emeritus from Ghost and a line of KISS that has lyrics to their blockbuster hit “Rock and Roll All Nite”.

This appears to be a new version of Papa IV, and he is in his smoking jacket. I’ve a number of the Ghost Pops and this versions predecessors and I will admit some surprise that we’ve never seen The Nameless Ghouls be delivered or even Sister Imperator.

The KISS Pops for me are an eventual purchase because they are generally reasonable in price between $12-$15 each unless its one of the giant ones or a set with a special album. I know they did a set for the stage last year but I didn’t pick that up. Here we find The Demon, The Starchild, The Catman and The Spaceman all singing a line from that amazing song. By the way, that was the grand-finale live song of their shows for so many years.

These are known as “Bitty Pops” and they are so small but so cute to collect. These are representative of the Deadpool editions that they do and I am hoping that Funko decides to do KISS Ones. Just think of it guys, editions of every single era and every single KISS Member. Let’s celebrate them all now that they have retired from the live stage and sold off their catalog rights.

Apologies for not lending any focus to the superhero stuff but the booth was quite packed and doing a number of sales appointments which is more important. I am happy to share those music releases with you and hope you will be mapping out your plans to get them for your own collection. Now let’s head over to Nacelle Toys.

So I’m not going to lie to you here and say that I’m up to speed on things related to Nacelle Toys. I did know they were issuing some figures for “Sectaurs” some time ago but I was never able to follow up on that and this and much more made me glad to be visiting them at Toy Fair since it let’s me discuss everything.

The first items that I found to my interest was their “Star Trek” action figures. They were all quite high up so I grouped them together in the shot. The interesting thing was that these were outside of the regular scenarios for the assorted characters and probably also a few characters that you never saw and wanted to be created.

Here are some items from the “Robo Force” line. I’ve know about this property but can admit that I am a bit of an ingenue about them. These creations look great.

Here are some items from “The Expanse” which is a property I am clueless on but will be investigating at some point going forward.

Here’s some of the “Biker Mice From Mars” products. They had brought a lot of this property to the show. Historically speaking, I’ve only ever known the name and never watched the animated series.

Sorry for the way this is flowing but I was following the shelves and here are another batch of “Biker Mice From Mars” releases. Some cool stuff for sure.

Here’s three of the “Robo Force” line of action figures in their packaging.

When I began my section on Nacelle Toys I mentioned the “Sectaurs” and I do recall this property from many years ago when it was a limited-series from Marvel Comics and I also believe there was a cartoon in addition to some action figures from a different company. These new Nacelle Toys editions look very poseable and have high articulation. They are also the same size as those “Star Trek” figures from earlier so you can create some interesting play adventures if that’s what your plan is.

The reps for Nacelle Toys were very excited about their holding the license for a very old property known as “The Great Garloo”. Back in 1961 this was a giant robot alien monster sort of thing and almost 2 feet tall. These items are obviously smaller but there is a lot of fun variety.

Before I wrap up this part of the coverage, I wanted to point out that the folks from Oni Press are publishing a number of comic books that feature the Nacelle Toys properties. The Nacelleverse as you can see. I think that this is a great idea for the fans of all these interesting properties. As a big fan of comic books in general, I was able to secure a copy of each of the ones on display and will be doing something with them in the future.

I think that some great things will be coming up from Nacelle Toys and that’s in addition to these items that you’ve already seen in this post. Don’t worry I’ll be keeping tabs on them going forward. Now onto a brief from The Loyal Subjects.

For this explore of The Loyal Subjects booth, I only paid attention to their upcoming M.A.S.K. line. This was not a cartoon I watched back in the day but the toys were cool so I was happy that a company like TLS was taking them into the future.

That’s going to bring me to the end of this installment but to repeat myself there is a whole lot more to share with you from the trade show. I’ll have one more multiple exhibitor post for you to explore next but won’t reveal which companies that they are to leave a little bit of a surprise.
