Hey there friends, so it’s time once again to laud something that’s going on with one of our most used social media accounts. It was way back in 2012 that PiercingMetal joined onto the Instagram photo-sharing network and while this isn’t our anniversary of creating the account, I am stoked to share that we have just posted out 10,000th Photo. It’s pretty cool to hit this many photographs because I think it raises some branding awareness and now all the photos also include the hashtag for my Ken Pierce Media angle which has been growing strong since launching in June of 2020. So what is this 10K photo all about, well as you can see it is me, and its the other photo taken by my friend in the final days of my COVID Manager job for the “Tina – The Tina Turner Musical” Broadway show. While the gig ended a little more than a week ago I still have the soundtrack running through my head and it was great to help people keep safe in trying times. Onward we go.
Now I know that I’ve aimed the spotlight on the very first photo that was posted to this network for the PiercingMetal side of the fence a few times already but for those who weren’t with us yet on “The Gram” or even following the site in 2012 I am presenting it once again. It was from the Nightwish show at the Beacon Theatre where they had Kamelot supporting the tour. That show, the singer of Nightwish was Anette Olzon and only a few days later she wasn’t anymore and was replaced by Floor Jansen. Wowza. It was a great show and featured two of my very favorite bands since I picked up this idea of becoming a Metal Music Journalist and Pop Culturist.
Since there are millions of Instagram accounts at the point of this photo milestone, I am guessing that everyone who is reading this has a profile and I hope you’re following this one. As most of the followers know, we love the big conventions and really go to town when the New York Comic Con and Anime NYC conventions happen to help laud the efforts of some truly talented cosplayers. This network has changed in the way it feeds the content and it seems like the Facebook Powers That Be are focused more on the video side which I don’t do a lot of yet. The one thing I do a lot of is the photo sharing so if you have some time please make sure to scroll through the content and like as many images as you can help the overall engagement of the profile. The way this grows best is from the followers and the likes. I hope to keep on entertaining you into our next anniversary of using this medium. This coming September we will have been using Instagram for PiercingMetal for 10 Years. On that note, the profile for the Piercing Ken site had its anniversary last month which was discussed HERE in case your not seeing the occasional post over on that site. Wrapping up I do appreciate everyone who follows, likes and comments on this content. I am very happy to entertain you and look forward to continuing the process. See you next time and hey if you want to leave your own Instagram link in the comments for me to explore please do so. I only ask that you also tell me a little about the profile and what you mostly focus on. Ciao.
