PiercingMetal Goes To Toy Fair 2014: Opening Ceremony & Alicia Keys

Hey there readers so as you have just seen in the previous chapter, I am getting myself underway into the 2014 Edition of Toy Fair and now that I have shared with you the winners of the Toy Of The Year Award for this season, I am going to share some of the Opening Ceremony images with you in this chapter. In the past I’ve arrived at the Toy Fair shortly after the opening ceremonies but this time around I wanted to see that and especially when they had announced that Pop superstar Alicia Keys was going to be cutting the ribbon. As you can see in the photographs below there are a number of costumed characters bopping around that just added to the excitement of the opening of this year’s Toy Fair. Check out these fun images.

Skeleton Pete and I then slipped into a conference room to listen in on the press conference that Miss Keys was taking part in. Alicia was there based on the recent announcement about her “Journals Of Mama Mae and Lee Lee” project which is one of those digital downloadable apps that we all love so much and this was is specifically geared towards young children. Considering how many of my friends children have tablets of some kind I think this will be a win win idea to run with. The stories are set in India and this virtual world allows youngsters to learn life lessons that will help them grow along with trying musical instruments like the piano or making notes and more. The music of Alicia Keys plays a big part in these life parables and the voice of Mama Mae is by legendary actress Della Reese.
