Hey there friends in Geek fandom, welcome back to my in-depth coverage of the first ever Special Edition NYC Con; This event is a brand new offshoot of the mega-popular NY Comic Con that happens here at the Javits Center in October and its overall premise and rallying call is “Comics, Art, Culture” and with that being the case I have a lot of photos to share with you. There is plenty of wonderful Cosplay coming up in this chapter and the ones to follow so how about we get underway. I’ll start off with one of the many artist tables that I saw.
Mr. Bryan “Kaiser” Tillman on point doing some artwork for those who needed it for their collection.
Here’s Gail DeSimone meeting her fans. Gail also had a nice long line for her time and that is always nice to see.
Speaking of lines, at SENYC the fans could get their tickets for New York Comic Con nice and early and that line was akin to meeting KISS in some respect. I had put in my Press Credentials request already so I did not get on this line. Perhaps I should see if my friends need a ticket though before this event ends.
This is “Zipper Tan”, a Cosplayer and artistic sort that I have met a number of times. Its always great to chat with her.
Here’s Bordin Marsinkul at his table showing off all of his super cool artwork.
She is always smiling and that makes saying hello to Chrissie Zullo such a treat, check out her offerings.
A lovely Wonder Woman Cosplayer on point with a great outfit for sure.
I was feeling really zonked but this charming lass offered me a shot of coffee. I actually took two but that is because I am a Gemini. She kindly obliged, thank you miss the Metal Command is forever in your debt. Well, at this Con at least ;p
The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund table was doing its good at SENYC and they had some nice stuff for kind donators.
Here is the Valiant Entertainment area and wow what a setup they had for fans of their characters. Comics, trade editions and even some plush dolls. You know you want a soft and cuddly X-O Manowar and here is your chance to get one.
Lets not forget about Archie Comics who had a solid presence at SENYC.
This is the table of our friends over at Metal Machine dotnet, yet another website but one that really aims to please those comic book fan readers by having a table at the SENYC along with NYCC each year.
This Cosplay Girl just looked smashing in her getup and so I asked if I could snap a photo. Luckily she said “yes” so all you readers could see as well.
I never realized that Batman Girl and Bartman had teamed up but here they are 🙂
