Good afternoon my readers of the PiercingMetal way it be I am glad that you have stopped by once again because its always a grand pleasure to see you here on our website. As you already know we are deep in the throes of the NY Comic Con for 2014 and have been serializing our coverage into numerous chapters to give you a better experience. This is Day Three of the madness and I will begin outside in one of the parking areas since they had these giant inflatable balloons that looked like The Teen Titans from the animated show. Have you ever caught that program? Its rather good and makes me wonder if we shall ever see a big screen live action version of this team. Who knows but here we go again into the fray. Who’s with me?
Gandalf the Gray says hello to all his fans.
A couple of Mexican Wrestlers with a Marvel Twist.
You don’t run into Star Sapphire on this side of the galaxy all that often so it was nice to see her.
Sweet Christmas its Luke Cage, Power Man.
If you are looking for some vintage titles or to move some out of your collection check out Heroes Online. Link at the close of this chapter.
Uh oh!, someone’s Cosplay is now incomplete based on this errant glove. I guess its for Aquaman?
The Little Mermaid sure has changed since the Blu-ray release of her film.
Batman Claus? I’m not too sure but its a clever idea just the same.
A moment with my friend Aub Driver from Dark Horse Comics. Always great to see him at Comic Con.
Here’s Glenn Greenberg with myself. Up until this meeting I had not seen Glenn in about 15 years. Perhaps longer. Always nice to be remembered with a smile.
I love the Lady Death stuff that creator Brian Pulido had come up with years ago and here are some images from their booth in Artist Alley.
Here’s our friend Marcy Lee in a spectacular gender bend Loki cosplay. A true Goddess of Mischief.
Way in the back there were both Manu Bennett and Lucy Lawless. Manu is known for playing Deathstroke on “Arrow” and Lucy is the legendary “Xena Warrior Princess”. Its hard to take photos of the celebs since they are selling images. I don’t collect those so was not waiting on the line to get a snap for your enjoyment here.
I was not sure what cosplay this Gothic lovely was doing but she was turning heads for sure. Thanks for the photo Miss ? Drats forgot to ask her name. Oh well, should be easy to find again with the 125K people around right? No? Moving on.
I just love running into Lydia Vengeance. She was doing a Lady Thor for today’s edition of the NYCC and as usual she is baddass. Lydia is pretty known for being an expert in latex fashions. If you need that stuff for cosplay you should look her up.
As I walked up the block to my next adventure I saw this young lady behind me who was a Baby Groot. This was a fantastic idea.
That brings us to the end of the Day Three explorations but my own night is just beginning. Do you remember when I posted a couple of photos of the X Japan press conference in Day Two visuals? Well tonight is that concert and I am very excited since it is the first time that they will be playing at Madison Square Garden. Someone said this show was also close to selling out and that is not bad at all for a group that has 0% radio play or support from our Metal themed television programming. Tomorrow is Day Four of the Con and the Family Day. Let’s see how much energy I have in me after this almost 72 hour continues pressing forward. Please take a few minutes to click on the websites below for the talented people that were showcased and also come find our Official Facebook and Official Instagram for side images and notations. See you tomorrow.
