Hello there once again oh readers of the PiercingMetal website, we are back as promised with yet another exciting installment in our comprehensive coverage of the 2014 NY Comic Con. For those still coming to terms with their day this is the second chapter of the Day Two festivities and to say that my camera was being kept busy would be an understatement. Let’s get on down to it and finish with where I left off yesterday at the Mega Bloks pavilion. They had a wonderful assortment of statues around in their display and if you were lucky enough to get one they were handing out small figures to some of the people that passed by. I love the giveaways.
You can’t go wrong with anything Minions these days it seems. I love these little guys.
Speaking of cool, let’s not forget “Skylanders”; Long time readers of the websites original blog (now a part of the main presentation) will recall our reports from Toy Fair about this license. Really great interactive stuff for the wee ones. Heck even for some adults in a sense.
I never thought I would see a team-up like this one but here’s a great Supergirl Cosplay and Catwoman Cosplay meandering around the Con together. Watch out Superman and Batman cosplayers.
I don’t know what the hell this girl was supposed to be but wow it was terrifying. Nice job for sure.
I must admit that I don’t usually think of Geico Insurance when I think of NY Comic Con but here they were. They had a giant box of little lizard giveaways but I didn’t want to wait 45 minutes to hear their schpeil to get one. There was other sights to observe today.
Deathstroke is looking menacing as ever at NY Comic Con
This Ms. Marvel cosplayer was stunning. Really brought out the character from the page to real life.
Some great tomes by the folks at DK Publishing. These are massive books but worthy of a more serious collector.
This lovely lady was helping to raise awareness for a cancer charity at NY Comic Con. We actually met her once before at one of the Toy Fairs so it was nice to see her once again. Keep up the good work.
I don’t think you readers really need me to tell you who Gamera is right? Here we see some awesome statues. If you are staring at your screen blankly at my saying that please know that I do know this is Godzilla, I was just testing the newer readers.
For the most part our readers know just who is cosplaying who so I’ll not be listing hero after hero after hero in these narratives.
These lovely ladies hail from the Land of the Rising Sun and they’re called Cheeky Parade. They formed only two years ago I discovered and they were wandering the convention together today. I tried to find out if they were performing at the convention anywhere but I think they were doing a real gig at one of the venues in our Metropolis. Welcome to NYC Cheeky Parade.
The Archie Comics pavilion was massive and had a lot of choice items for fans of these titles.
Oh not that’s not really Jeremy Renner aka Hawkeye from “The Avengers” but a lifelike wax replica of his character. Fans could pose with this if they wanted to.
Here’s the folks at the Vampirefreaks pavilion. They always have a lot of spooky gothic stuff on sale at NYCC.
That is all you get for this installment my dear readers but don’t lose affection for Day Two just yet because I have two more installments from this day queued up to serve your need for nerd very well. I hope you are enjoying this as usual and I shall see you here again tomorrow. Until we meet again please click on the websites and show some love for these companies and cosplayers. You can also drop by our Official Facebook and Official Instagram and give us some follow love because additional notations and images are shared on those social networks.
