So here were are again my fiends on the third proper day of the NY Comic Con but my own second day of the explorations since I did not manage to be a part of the very first day based on getting locked out of the Press signups and then missing the chance to purchase a full four day ticket. Ugh. The great thing about Comic Con is that everyone is permitted to carry a camera but now I had my work cut out for me in catch up and I probably missed a few things that I would have liked to see. Oh well, here we go with the snagged visuals from the Saturday session which is historically speaking the most packed and chaotic of all the days. As I walked into the Convention I was greeted by this menacing Predator Cosplay. I was not sure he was a Cosplay in all honesty.
Once I was safely inside I got my gear together and felt that I should hit “The Block” section again because there are so many different things in there to observe.
I narrowly avoided any conflict with this Braniac Cosplay and Lex Luthor Cosplay. Where is Superman when you need him. Nowhere to be found and these two together is not a good thing at all.
Oh great, there is a Wonder Woman Cosplay to help out but we still need the Man Of Steel for these two.
Check out this great Father and son team Cosplay of Green Arrow and Speedy. Yes they look very different on television if you watch the show.
Over the past couple of years I have been starting the larger coverage of the Con in an area known as “The Block”. This is a unique array of vendors and specialty items. It’s a fun examination and the chance to meet some really interesting people. Here we go.
As I entered the block I encountered a Batman Cosplay and a Warrior Wonder Woman Cosplay.
Here’s the Pigfish booth, we’ve seen him here before. There is now an interactive game along with the comic books. I have to take a look at this when time allows.
Having grown up with the cartoons of Felix The Cat, I was really happy to see the classic character making an appearance at the NYCC.
These lovely ladies were repping the booth for a film called “Skye Of The Damned”. It really is a mixed bag when it comes to what you will find in The Block. A little disorganized for my liking but its still great to find so many independent creators out meeting potential new fans.
Here are a couple of awesome “Little Mermaid” cosplayers. Nice work on these under the sea outfits ladies.
Death becomes her don’t you think? That’s a “Sandman” reference BTW.
These guys were showcasing their creation “Kodoja” which I am understanding is a giant mountain monster. All I know is that I want one of the statues or action figures. Whatever they had since it looked pretty awesome. I’ll have their link below for you to check it out too.
These dolls are “Once Upon A Zombie” which struck me as something inspired by the “Monster High” series of dolls for the young lady in your life. Or any collector of creepy dolls and such.
There was some serious gaming going on at the Con today. The video game people took over some massive space for these competitions. It’s that big a deal.
This is the Incredible Bionic Man and he is the subject of a series that will air on the Smithsonian Channel. It sounds fascinating to me so you can bet that I will be programming the DVR to see what its all about.
Now this is something right up my musical alley, the booth of Misfits Records. Horror Punk and Pop Punk come to NYCC.
Here he is my fiends, the one and only Jerry Only, leader of The Misfits. He was signing anything you wanted him to today and they even had a poster for fans to take for free which he would also sign. The band had music and clothing on display as well which were all available for purchase. Jerry was also posing with fans for selfies and candid shots. That was world’s of awesome to me.
We just love the jewelry designs of “Rock Love” and its always great to see them at the Con. They were right near the Misfits booth so it was easy to include them as well.
World’s of cute are to be found with the creature creations over at Monster Factory. They offer some seriously awesome plush creatures.
“When Misfit Meets Monster” – a new series not coming to you soon 🙂
The great Ron English was at the Con signing the latest product he is personally behind. It’s a limited edition figurine of some kind but I didn’t know its actual name.
How could I resist the chance to get a photo with Jerry Only since I had the means to do so. He even sent me home with a bunch of signed posters for my friends so some of my buddies are going to have a nice surprise coming their way soon.
Alright, that will have to do it for now because we have reached the end of our first chapter from the Day Three festivities that is NY Comic Con. Until next time please click on the links below to learn more about the cool people that were showcased in this particular post. I encourage our readers to come “Like” or “Follow” the Official PiercingMetal Facebook Page and the Official PiercingMetal Instagram profile to enjoy some side visuals and notations from the convention.
