Join stars Julie Bowen, Anna Camp and Bruce Campbell, and showrunners and executive producers Matthew Scott Kane and David A. Goodman, for a look into Peacock’s original pop-horror thriller series Hysteria!, a tale of murders, kidnappings, and reported “supernatural activity” that triggers a small town’s witch hunt set during the “Satanic Panic” of the late 1980s.

ABOUT HYSTERIA!
When a beloved varsity quarterback disappears during the “Satanic Panic” of the late 1980s, a struggling high school heavy metal band of outcasts realize they can capitalize on the town’s sudden interest in the occult by building a reputation as a Satanic metal band, until a bizarre series of murders, kidnappings, and reported “supernatural activity” triggers a leather-studded witch hunt that leads directly back to them.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: The announcements about panels and previews and the like from the up coming New York Comic Con are hitting the inbox in rapid succession and I am doing my best to feature as many of the topical ones that is possible to ramp up our support and to excite those who will be in attendance among our readership. The latest one comes from the representatives of the Peacock streaming service about their new series “Hysteria” and the panel that will be happening at the convention. Though I am not currently a subscriber to Peacock as a streaming service, the overall premise of this series definitely intrigued me just a little bit. Maybe its because I am a tried and true Metalhead as is evidenced by maintaining a website with the title “PiercingMetal” and also because I used to be in a band many, many years ago and can sympathize with the struggles of such a pursuit. I’m a big fan of Campbell and Camp as actors as well and think that this might be a very interesting panel to be in attendance for. Though I’ve mentioned my being one of the approved press for the convention I will say it again and also point out that I am seldom able to get to panels based on the time involved in getting into them and being locked into place for the duration. I tend to spend a bulk of my time on the expo floor visiting and chatting with the vendors and even the cosplayers and let’s not forget the Artist Alley where a majority of my interviews will come from when I get those underway.
