Last week, I shared an announcement from the upcoming New York Comic Con about a panel focused on this soon to be airing Peacock Original Series called “Hysteria!”. Based on the casting and the premise, the series did seem right up the alley for a Heavy Metal themed website so you can check out the trailer down below with said premise and casting along with some promotional art. You can also check out that Panel Announcement by clicking HERE. It will definitely be of interest if you plan on attending the upcoming convention.

The Premise:
In 1989 during the Satanic panic, a beloved varsity quarterback’s disappearance causes whispers of occult activity and Satanic influence throughout the Detroit suburb of Happy Hollow, Michigan. Dylan, Jordy and Spud, a trio of outcasts in a struggling heavy metal band called Dethkrunch, decide to capitalize on the town’s sudden interest in the occult by rebranding themselves as a Satanic metal band. This leads to them becoming the targets of the town’s witch hunt, especially when a bizarre series of murders, kidnappings and reported supernatural activity begin happening. (c/o Wiki)

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I have to say that this trailer looks like a lot of creepy fun but alas I am not currently subscribed to the Peacock Streaming Service so unless it somehow makes its way over to Netflix or Hulu I am out of luck. I do love that many of the streaming services are offering up shows much like the conventional networks do since it puts more out there to entertain us and that is never a bad thing. I know some folks who have moved away from traditional cable programming and only do streaming but after a few months they realized that they weren’t really experiencing any savings but again that is not the topic here. What do you readers think about this trailer and the premise of the series? Does it inspire you to subscribe to Peacock and on that note are you heading to the upcoming New York Comic Con and plan on attending the special panel about the show? Chime in down below because its always fun to hear from you when you decide to chime in. I’ll be at the convention and still have plenty of lead time before I decide on how I will be covering it but I am excited either way. See you next time.
