If you’ve seen the suspenseful aliens have taken over and are hunting mankind films “A Quiet Place” parts one and two, and wondered how it all might have began, the folks at Paramount Pictures have delivered “A Quiet Place: Day One”. It’s here that you can watch the insidious aliens setting foot on our planet for the first time and doing the damage that they did in the other films. The Official Trailer just dropped and is embedded down below with some premise, casting and artwork.

The Premise: Taking place before the first film, a woman named Sam must survive an invasion in New York City by bloodthirsty alien creatures with ultrasonic sound hearing.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: While this looks interesting, I will admit that I recall having said that about the two films that came before this one, but essentially take place after what gets seen during this film. I’m on the fence about seeing it since with its being a prequel, I don’t really think that I need to have seen the other two before going in. As expected this one introduces the threat being faced in “A Quiet Place” one and two and though I had great interest in seeing them I just never got around to it.
