The new album marks the first release since OSBOURNE’s critically acclaimed, worldwide, chart-topping 2020 ORDINARY MAN. Produced by Andrew Watt (who handled the same duties on ORDINARY MAN), the new album marks OSBOURNE’s 13th solo studio album. It’s heavy, it’s hard-hitting, it’s historic–it’s everything you’d want from an OZZY OSBOURNE record and maybe more. Working with producer Watt for the second time, OZZY welcomed a dynamic A-list featured guests. For the first time ever, Black Sabbath co-founder, guitarist, and riff-master Tony Iommi appears on an OZZY solo album. The record also boasts guitarists Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, and longstanding righthand man and six-string beast Zakk Wylde who plays on the majority of the tracks. For the bulk of the album, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers held down drums, while the late Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters appears on three songs. Old friend and one-time OZZY band member Robert Trujillo of Metallica plays bass on most of the album’s tracks, with Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses and Chris Chaney of Jane’s Addiction supplying bass on a few songs.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I know its not common practice for me to discuss special events that aren’t NYC centric but this is Ozzy Osbourne, The Prince of Darkness and Founding Father of Heavy Metal music. Those credentials make including his happenings so very relevant to the readership. We do wish we were able to participate in this kind of thing since its always fun to attend and snap photos and be a general fly on the wall. So far I haven’t heard of any NYC signings but I hope something like that comes to light before he and Sharon head back to the United Kingdom. For those in the unaware, Ozzy and the Missus recently announced that they were leaving California for their homeland. Now so far I’ve heard a few tracks from the upcoming “Patient Number 9” album and I like them. I think he has another winner on his hands which is good to find happening after so many years at the craft. If you’re one of our site visitors and out in this area please chime in and let us know what you think about this news and if you are planning on attending. I am going to assume that the giant inflatable Ozzy will be in attendance as well and before I forget to remind you, Ozzy will be performing at the Halftime show for this weeks Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills football game. More about that event can be found HERE. That’s all I have to say about this one, I will see you again soon. Please keep staying safe out there.
