Sometimes I feel as though I am announcing a new tour every single day but as opposed to being annoyed by this I think its pretty cool that we are alerting the Metal Legions to the incredible vibrancy that our artists have to offer the fans on the live stage. This latest announcement was an awesome one to see hitting my mail box so please check it out below.
The Press Release:
PAIN announces North American tour dates w/ Orphaned Land – PAIN, the Swedish industrial-metal force led by multi-instrumentalist and producer Peter Tägtgren (HYPOCRISY, LINDEMANN), will make their first ever North American appearance this upcoming September.
Comments Tägtgren:
“Painheads of America and Canada! We’re happy to finally be doing a North American tour together with Orphaned Land. Be there or be square. It might be the only chance to see Pain on this continent!”
Adds Orphaned Land: “For the past years we read every message, comment & Email you sent us – asking us to come back to the USA for a full tour. Now, finally – IT’S HAPPENING. See you in September”

PiercingMetal Thoughts: It’s been far too many years since we’ve had a visit from Orphaned Land who are super impressive live and we’ve NEVER gotten any Pain tours so this is a good one to be announcing to the Metal Scene. Simply put, if you are considering missing this historic and long overdue pairing I’d like you to return your Metal credentials at the nearest window. These are two widely diverse musical enterprises that bring a lot to the table and to find them doing this together and hitting our region for only a few gigs makes me advise you to get your sh*t together and be on point for whichever even that you can make. Stop worrying about when Slayer is coming back around or when the next time you can see Zakk Wylde do Black Sabbath covers is going to happen because those things happen enough for you to give something else a chance every so often. I’m growing so tired of the Metalheads singing the “Same Old Song” when it comes to what they are supporting and what they are not. Always remember that sites like this here one exist to direct you to some absolutely awesome Metal and despite this we hear excuses like “I don’t hear them on the radio” or “I can’t find their music in the local record store” (what are those things anyway in today’s world?). We suggest you act fast on this one and if you already have an excuse then “Shut Your Mouth” (by the way these are two Pain songs and I couldn’t resist using them in the context of the tour announcement. I’m also curious about the Chinese Metal band that will be a part of the tour called Voodoo Kung-Fu. So now that the rant is done what do you think of this short tour? Will you be supporting or will you not? Choose your response very carefully and let us know down in the comments section.
