Observing “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon” The Super Live Press Preview @ Playstation Theater

Maybe some of you remember that back in December of 2018, I shared the press news about the arrival of the production “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon” The Super Live for its first-ever NYC presentation (discussed HERE if you missed it). Those shows are here and came with a media preview event. Check it out below.

She is the Pretty Guardian who fights for love and Justice and in the name of the Moon she will punish you if you are an evil doer. Earlier today, the cast of “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon” The Super Live performed a preview for Attending Press to celebrate their three sold-out shows at the Playstation Theater in Times Square, NYC. The media were encouraged to secure the clips for promotional purposes and I used the Samsung point and shoot for it. The performance is directed and choreographed by TAKAHIRO (Madonna’s Sticky and Sweet Tour) with book by Akiko Kodama (Takarazuka Revue Company), and music by HYADAIN. Please enjoy the clip by giving it a “thumbs up” and click “Subscribe” to show some support love to the channel

Sailor Venus / Minako Aino is played by Yu Nakanishi
Sailor Jupiter / Makoto Kino is played by Kanna Matsuzaki
Sailor Mars / Rei Hino is played by Yui Hasegawa
Sailor Mercury / Ami Mizuno is played by Momoko Kaechi
Sailor Moon / Usagi Tsukino is played by Tomomi Kasai

I’ll have a gallery of still photos posted as soon as I can edit them, but until them please enjoy an image of the cast that you saw in the above video on our Official Instagram. Please consider following this account after you’ve liked the image because there is a LOT of cosplay over there in addition to all of my music stuff.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: It’s rather hard to gauge the value of a show when you come into the property rather green and then only get to absorb a couple of numbers but that being said, these three performances are completely sold out and that means the fans are ready and hungry for this particular event. As a member of the press who has attended the New York Comic Con and Anime NYC conventions for a number of years, I can greatly appreciate the impact that the Sailor Moon characters and franchise have had on their fans. Though we are not going to be at any of the shows, I’ve done my part and shared a permitted clip to excite those who are coming out all the more. We hope that you have a spectacular time and if you go, chime in down in the comments on this post with what you thought about it. I’d love to hear some reports.
