Now Streaming: “Vixen” on The CW Seed (8/25/2015)

Hey there friends of the online streaming of programming, I wanted to make sure that all of you fans of the live action series “Arrow” and “The Flash” might have some interest in this new animated web-series that is online as of today. It’s focused on the DC Comics superhero Vixen who some fans might remember as a member of the “Justice League of America” a couple of decades ago. The poster of her looks cool and shows us that both Green Arrow and The Flash are going to be a part of the show meaning its in the “Arrowverse” and I like that a lot.

The Premise:
After her parents were killed in Africa by local corruption, Mari McCabe inherits her family’s Tantu Totem, gaining the powers of animals, using them to fight as Vixen to stop threats like those that claimed her family.

The Cast:
Megalyn Echikunwoke as Mari McCabe/Vixen
Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen/Arrow
Neil Flynn as Chuck: Mari’s foster father
Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/Flash
Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak
Anika Noni Rose as Kuasa
Sean Patrick Thomas as Professor Macalester
Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon
Kari Wuhrer as Patty
Additional voices in the series are provided by Kevin Michael Richardson and Fred Tatasciore

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I plan on watching these and its primarily because DC Animated has been killing it with their animated features. They are generally super good and I am considering added a number of them to my video collection despite having insufficient shelf space for anything else. The other reason for my interest is that this connects to the Arrowverse as we know it and who knows……perhaps this will find a live-action appearance on one of these shows as well. This could be a good trend to try out new characters for the TV Shows. What do you folks think? Will you be opening up the website and checking it out? Let me know down in the comments section below.
