Now Streaming: Amazon Original “The Tick” (8/25/2017)

Since I’ve been showcasing some of the details and visuals from “The Tick” I might as well put out a reminder that this show is now available for streaming on the Amazon Prime service. That means you can ONLY watch this if you are an Amazon Prime member or share the access with someone in your family who has signed up for it and added the means to do so on your main entertainment devices. Here’s the official show poster and I’ve reminded of cast and premise down below.

The Premise: The Tick is a nigh-invulnerable superhero in a blue tick costume who arrives in The City to help combat crime, and uncover the mysterious figure behind the city’s underworld. He befriends (or may have been imagined into existence by) a nervous and mild-mannered young man called Arthur who becomes his sidekick: They come to realize that an apparently long-dead supervillian called “The Terror” may still be pulling the strings in the city’s underworld. (thanks Wiki)

The Cast/Characters:
Peter Serafinowicz as The Tick
Griffin Newman as Arthur Everest
Valorie Curry as Dot Everest
Brendan Hines as Superian
Yara Martinez as Miss Lint
Scott Speiser as Overkill
Jackie Earle Haley as The Terror
Michael Cerveris as Ramses IV
Bryan Greenberg as Derek
Alan Tudyk as the voice of Dangerboat

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Although I thought this was a fun idea to support I never did get around to subscribing to Prime. It’s one of those “when there is a little extra money” things to do for me because right now my entertainment dollars are well over budget. As I type that I wonder where all the friends who wanted access to my Netflix or my Ultraviolet codes from my Blu-rays have disappeared to. Hmmmm, curious. Anyway, perhaps this will be something that I can enjoy in the near future or see on full season disc when released. This stuff seems to hit the stores very quickly nowadays and I guess this is done to not miss out on any of the excitement about it. What about you my friends, are any of you Amazon Prime subscribers and looking forward to this little bit of comic book live action silliness? Let me know down in the comments section below.
