It wasn’t too long ago that we shared the news about the upcoming Supernatural Horror film from Universal Pictures called “The Last Voyage Of The Demeter”. I had presented the Official Trailer (HERE) and found it interesting that the film originally stems from a single chapter in the original “Dracula” novel. This film opens today in theaters around the country. Down below you’ll see the poster, a premise reminder and casting.
The Plot: Strange and horrifying events befall the doomed crew as they attempt to survive the ocean voyage from Transylvania to London, stalked each night by a merciless presence onboard the ship: a legendary vampire known as Dracula. When the Demeter finally arrives off the shores of England, it is a charred, derelict wreck. There is no trace of the crew. (c/o Universal Pictures)

PiercingMetal Thoughts: So back when I posted the Official Trailer, I mused that I would like to catch this in the theater when it opened up but that would be entirely based on my own often hectic schedule. Now it looks like I will be far too overwhelmed to hit this one with a couple of conventions and some Metal shows to be on point and reporting on. Don’t let my plans stop you of course because this one looks to be super shocking at points and we are in need of a good scare that comes from monsters like Dracula sometimes as opposed to the ones that come from day to day living right? Chime in down below with your own thoughts on this one and let us know if you plan on seeing it early in the run. Don’t spoil it for anyone of course even though the outcome is rather obvious. See you next time and please keep safe out there.
