The big day is finally here for the fans of the Batman franchise as “The Dark Knight Rises” opens up in theaters everywhere. The film continues and apparently completes the saga that Chris Nolan began with “Batman Begins” and continued with “The Dark Knight” and I have to admit that I never realized this was going to be a trilogy. Nolan’s Batman was grittier than any we had seen before, and even more so than the one from the 1989 film where he was played by Michael Keaton. In any event I am excited for this movie. PiercingMetal Thoughts: The readers of the PiercingMetal Musings blog know that we love the comic book medium here on the site and that is why we’ve been posting narratives about a number of comic book properties such as DC Comics’ own “The New 52” pieces. It will be interesting to see just how Batman returns to the mix after the actions in “The Dark Knight” and how he fares against the likes of The Catwoman and Bane. We’ve all seen the costumes that these villains will be sporting in advertisements and across the Internet and while I like the Catwoman suit, I will say that Bane is not too much in terms of design in my humble opinion. Since I don’t think that I will be offering up a review before the film has been out for a few weeks based on ticket availability and my own time to see it, I’m going to leave the comments section closed on this little advertisement posting to avoid any spoilers that might accidentally happen and especially to prevent those who just love to ruin it for everyone else. Hope you all enjoy the film if you see it before me. Now…..to the Batmobile……
